CHAPTER 31

'You here? do you except to win?' Riad taunts us, I glare at him while Adnan fists his fingers.

'We will and you will see' I say confidently, Riad raises his eye brows. I opened my mouth to say more but Adnan held my wrist, I look at him and he looks back.

'You go and sit...'he says through clenched teeth, seeing his deadly glare I nodded like an obedient kid and left. Once at a safe distance, I turn around and find Adnan has taken a step closer and both the men are glaring at each other. Adnan and Riad are same height and has the same built too. It is so sad to see once ready-to-die for each other friends are ready-to-kill each other today.

I see them talk something in whispers, more than talking it was them shooting glares at each other. Thankfully Rhea comes and interrupts their deadly staring session. Adnan along with Rhea walks towards us while Riad stands there watching him walking away.

I, Adnan and Rhea sat in the third row while Riad sits few rows behind us. Adnan and Rhea are discussing something; I tilt my head slightly and find Riad smirking at us. I look away. I am sure Adnan will win this bid and then I will love to see Riad's smile disappear. I smirk evilly.

Soon, the bidding started. With each bid my heart beat is increasing, and time to time I kept glancing back at Riad. He is discussing something with a Lanky skinny guy next to him, must be his assistant. I am feeling the pressure.

Sometime later, I excuse myself and go the washroom.

As I walk into the washroom, Riad comes out from the gent's washroom wiping his hands with his handkerchief. I freeze on spot looking at him. He tilts his head slightly and smirks at me, few random strands of hair fell over his forehead as he does that.

'You were so confident and look at you now...'he says coolly.

I am speechless, I don't know what to say. With the current situation of the bid Riad is leading. I bit my lower lip and made a sad face.

'Riad...'I take a step closer; he frowns but stands his ground

'This property is really important for Adnan... (I take another closer) he will slip into depression... Please back out from the bid...please loose it...it's a humble request' I say sadly. I lowered my head and sniffle, to make it look like I am crying.

There is silence between us for few seconds, Riad shifts in his place and I slowly look up at him.

'What will I get in return' he says shoving his hands into his pockets and looking intently at me.

'I will be really grateful to you...whatever you want' I say, I am little relieved that he is melting. Tears indeed is woman's most powerful weapon.

Riad takes a step closer, reflexively I take a step back. I look into his eyes and gulp as I see them turn dark.

He smirks not moving his gaze from mine 'Sleep with me' he says coolly. My jaw dropped.
