Life is full of trials.... but most are not equal....
I wait outside the gym for Hank. I closed my eyes then tried to remember the discussion earlier...
I was eating with Lucsus in the cafeteria along with other grimms and humans. He explained to me what happened when I first transformed. While I was knocked out, he called his Uncle about me, went to a secret base then waited for transportation here. Seems like something you would find in a MIB movie. And as if on cue, his Uncle came over and gave a pat on Lucsus's head and handed me a folder
"Thats your schedule and other stuff like ID and map." He came to talk over a few thigs then left.
We walk over to our room as we change. As always, Lucsus tries to pull me on bed while I get changed. I just flick my tail at him. I am getting better at maneuvering at my new body but I still havent seen nor heard from Luna or Solga since the accident.
Lucsus went to the office to talk over stuff with his uncle. After all, he is the nephew of the captain. And I am here to study on combat. If I remember correctly, Grimms are sent on jobs that require more than human abilities.
I opened my eyes as I start to look around. Hank is not here yet. I look at the clock and it is almost 3. Kinda makes me remember Rino. He was always like this. Not early but rather on time. Or barely on time. It also made me remember Halmind. I wonder... are they worried about me? I wanna see them again. Especially Halmind. I dont want him to suffer again. He reminds me so muh of Rave...
As I look down, a pair of huge shoes were just below me. I look up and its Hank. He gave me a smile with his usual get up. A muscle shirt and some shorts with that all too familiar whistle.
"Youre early kiddo" he said
"Sorry coach. Just... old habit" I said as he pat my shoulder
"Dont worry. Now lets get you caught up" he then entered the gym as I follow closely behind.
The room was built more of a jungle in a city. And oh boy, it was huge. Like the size of a foot ball field. The cieling was almost so high, it was 8 stories up. The floors were coloured as cement but it feels like wood. I then looked around and saw more grimms but they are not mythological nor scary. They are anthromorphic animals. Lions, bears, tigers, birds, racoons, and other animals I cant explain.
"Huddle up kiddos" Hank yelled with his whistle "this here is Fenuir and he is new. Try to get along okay"
I then heard then cheering and clapping. This... is not the usual welcome I am used to. Its like I won a prize. I look over at Hank.
"Beastmens are attachable creatures. We are more loving and welcoming than other grimms" he then pushed me towards them as I felt a brown furry arm around my neck.
"So your the new kid? The name is John. Remember it okay" he grinned as I blush of embarrasment.
"Uhh.. yeah. Nice to meet you." I said abruptly
"Hey, stop giving him a hard time" I saw an eagle slap the back of John's head which made him growl a bit
"Whats that for Diana?"
"Now now guys. Stop fighting" a smaller tiger went in between them
"I am fine Minos" Diana commented "Youre always like this when someone new comes" she said with her arms crossed.
"Let them be Fenuir" i turn to see a lion pat my shoulder "let them be. Its always like that. By the way, I am Justin and this is my brother Edmund" I then saw a small racoon beside him, hiding from me
