ONE week had passed since Lucinda had been locked up out side, people would giggle and seer at her as they passed. None of her family went out to see her, not once, the people that did say anything to her weren't the nicest. No matter how or what she had done to me, and how she acted toward her king, I still felt bad.

I voiced my thoughts to Jason who said it was okay to feel like that but she had to pay for what she had done. That this wasn't just a punishment on Lucinda but on her family as well, I agreed but it still was eating at me. I wasn't like her, I wouldn't take pleasure from putting others down, or belittling someone. I wasn't going to become someone who changes because of power.

I stared out the window which gave the perfect view of where she was being kept, her wolf's head hung low as the people passed her. A deep breath fell from my lips just as I felt a hand touch upon my shoulder.  Turning my head I am met with the sight of Jason, his eyes Soft as they looked down at me, dark forest green orbs loomed above.

"Ella.." I watch the movement of his lips as he speaks my name, how they moved and formed around each syllable. They looked soft and I knew that if they touched down upon my own that the guilt I was feeling would be pushed to the farthest corner of my mind, and almost as if he knew he started to lean in. I didn't want to forget the way I felt, I didn't want to replace it, so i turn causing his lips to land on my cheek.

I look away as his hand glides down my arm, the warmth of it radiating into my flesh. Grabbing my hand I feel him pull me towards him. But I couldn't look up no matter how much I'd love to stare into his deep spruce coloured Irises.   "Ella... look at me.." his voice was a whisper as he stayed close to me, his other hand coming up to cup my face, pulling my face even closer towards his own. I close my eyes and the feel of his breath against my face, a deep shudder raking trough my body.

I open my eyes as Jason brushes his thumb over my cheek. "Ella you can't do this.."  his   Voice speaks to me but I only nod. "I don't want to see you upset for someone else's mistakes.."  his reasoning is good but my guilt was greater.

"Jason.. I know a punishment was needed but do you not hear what people are saying at her?" I try and voice out my own reasoning for my guilt. Pulls me closer to him, burying his head in my neck as he held me close.

"I'm taking you home today.." pulling away from him I place my hand on his chest, looking up into his eyes with my shocked ones.

"What?.. taking me home?" Nodding he looks back down at me with a smile.

"I think seeing your family will do you good, as well as I should really start trying more.." he trails off, i didn't want to question him on any of it so I just continued to stare at him.

"You're taking me home?" I ask again, to which a slight laugh comes from Jason as he nodded, rubbing my shoulders, "when?" Was my next question, as excitement bubbled up within me. I was getting to see my mom, and my sister, I had missed them but I never realized how much I did.

"Now actually-

"Now?!" My voice raised I wasn't ready now I have to pack, and call my mother -

"We've got a bag packed so we can head down to the cars as soon as you are ready." His voice warm as the words sunk into me, "so are you ready ?" I shook my head yes and he trail his hand down my arm until he took hold of my hand in his larger one. Guiding me down the halls and stair well I had a grand smile on my face, happy about seeing my family. Passing by door after door we finally came to the entry way, and there stood Adeline waiting.

"Oh! Have a safe trip dear." she spoke as her arms wrapped around me in a bone crushing hug, I closed my eyes and enjoyed the warmth that she gave me, next to my own mother she was the closest I had to one.

"We will Adeline, I promise we'll come home will all fingers and toes attached." We laughed together as she loosened then tightened her arms in a quick squeeze before letting go. As we pulled apart I open my eyes to catch the sight behind her. A saddened Cathy stood quietly watching.

As Adeline went to talk to her son, I took a look back at them before heading over to the awaiting Cathy. As I approached her I could see her eyes down cast towards my shoes instead. Furrowing my brows I came to a stand still in front of her.

"I want to once again apologize for my husband and daughter." Her voice sounded remorseful. we stood quietly letting the words sink between us, she didn't look up and I kept my eyes on her lowered head.

Gently I reached out to her, my soft touch landing upon her bicep, her eyes cautiously raise, "in my eyes you and your family are forgiven." A smile graced my lips as I gave her my forgiveness. I truly did forgive her, and her family.

"You will make a great queen." Her eyes shined with happiness, and respect. She bowed her head once again but this time not from remorse but out of acceptance, she was bowing down to my rank as queen.The room grew quiet and it was then that I realized that all eyes were on us, "thank you queen Ella."

With that she walked back out, probably to spend her time with her other children. Turning back I am met with a wall of muscle, trailing my eyes up the broad chest I see Jason.

"You ready now?" Raising an eye brow he smirks at me, most likely the idiot's pride was growing with the act that had just happened.

"Yes."

As we walk out the door Jason grabs our bags and I follow behind him, I waited as he loaded our stuff into the SUV. Holding my arms I sway back and forth on each foot, looking around until my eyes land on a familiar cage, with a certain she wolf locked within.

Taking one more look toward the alpha male in front of me I take off for the cage, as I do I gain a few glances from surrounding pack members. Coming to a stop in front of the encaged she-wolf I gain her attention as well, but she quickly looks away.

"Lucinda.."

Still she didn't look back up at me, leaning closer I go to place my fingers to interlock with the chain link fence but I quickly pull back at the slight burn that is immediately felt. Looking down I notice the tips of my fingers have a slight red tint now, a quick sounding huff comes from Lucinda almost as if to say obviously it's laced with wolfsbane. Rolling my eyes I continue, moving a few steps to the right I take the lock in my hand and swiftly unlock the door I walk in, bending down I open her collar before heading back to the door Swinging it wide I signal for her.

"Well? I'm letting you off. Go, your mom probably misses you.." finally looking up her wolf looks shocked before she took of in a run. Looking down at the collar in my hands I drop it too the ground, there was no way I could enjoy my time with my family if I still felt guilt from having her here locked up. Walking back towards the car I feel all eyes still on me, but I ignore their stares and keep my eyes on the running SUV coming up.

Opening the door I get in the back seat only to see Jason waiting for me there. "Are you ready now?" He knowingly asks and just happily nod.
