"Augusta University snatched their first victory for this season and as expected on who to deliver the goods is the former MVP Drew Reyes..."
He's no MVP for nothing.
One month before I step the second year of my college.
"New team, but same dream' eka nga nila." ani Trixie and then winked at me.
"Of course, you know I'm a huge UCCP fan." ngising tugon nito. "That's Maddie Mendoza, second year middle blocker recruit from LU."
"LU's bench player hah?"
"Definitely. Balita ko she's a MVP from LU highschool but then never got the chance to play last season. At tyaka pa, running attack is her forte.
"Mas nakaka-intimidate yang kausap ni coach Trex ngayon." she added then pointed the other tall girl. I think 6 footer from my view. And definitely made in abroad.
"That's Amy Alvarez, jersey number 16." agad akong napatingin kay Trixie, aba'y nag background research ba ang isang 'to at parang alam na alam n'ya ang lahat ng mga detalye. "Full blooded Aussie, came here in her freshmen year para lang daw maglaro ng volleyball. She's on her third year now, her first and second try out hindi s'ya nakuha but look where she is now." and she ended with a smile.
"Definitely. And by the way, she's a leftie. Her quick attacks did improve sabi nga nila." dagdag pa nito. "She's perfect for that middle position." and wiggled her eyebrows.
Napailing na lamang ako. I'm quite impress sa mga nakuha n'yang impormasyon. "Really bes? Pano mo nalaman ang mga yan?" Natatawa kong tanong.
She smiled in satisfaction. "Well connections, 'connec-shune that you don't have.' imitating a movie character's voice. "And wait, there's more!" muling hirit n'ya. "Kita mo ang maliit na babaeng yan?" again pointing to a small girl beside of the one coaching staff.
"Second libero?" tanong ko.
"Pag maliit, libero agad?" tugon nito and I just rolled my eyes.
"She's Michelle Maglasang, rookie recruit from a province highschool."
Ah parang ako lang. Pahayag ko sa sarili ko. "OH?"
