Collin: you miss eachother

Collin opened your bedroom door, but you didn't pay him any attention and just continued to throw the small ball at the empty walls of your bedroom. Collin came and sat next to you, he caught the ball and started throwing it with you but neither of you spoke.

"Are you excited?" He finally asked making you frown. "Why would I be excited?" You said looking away. "Because-" Collin thought for a moment. "You're going to make loads of new friends!" Collin said with a smile. "I don't want new friends." You said with a sigh.

"I just want to stay here with you," you said quietly as the lump in your throat grew larger. Collin pulled you into his arms and held you close to him. Even though you guys were only 9, he took good care of you.

Eventually Your mother told you it was time to leave and told you to get into the car so you said your last good bye to Collin who stood by your car, refusing to go until you'd gone. "We'll always be best friends!" He said win a sad smile before you got into your car.

Your father pulled off and drove down the road. Collin chased after the car, waving you goodbye and trying his hardest to keep up with the car but very slowly he began to get slower and slower, fading away from the car.

"Mum," you said swallowing back the tears. "Yes dear?" Your mother spoke. "Why does it hurt so much?" You asked clenching your hand over your chest. "You're heart broken sweety," she said sadly as she watched the tears run down your cheeks as you stared out the back window, trying to find Collin.
