An Unexpected Friend

As Marshall sped towards the East Point Boundary his P.E.N was buzzing of the hook.

“Turn right” said the cars GPS

Suddenly a very tall and brutish looking man stepped into the road. Marshall locked eyes on the man who walked towards the car. Marshall coolly slide his hand over P.E.N and grabbed the card that Dominic gave him.

“I'm suppose to give this to you” said Marshall looking over his sunglasses

The man took the card and disappeared into a red storage container.

Inside the man slide the card through a card reader.

“Impossible!” exclaimed the man

He pushed a button on the wall.

“Excalibur it's him” said the man

“You sure?” asked a voice

“Yes” said the man

“Show him round” said the voice

The man grabbed the card and his P.E.N and ran out the door.

“Come on” he said jumping in Marshall's car.

As they drove in silence Marshall felt his muscles relax. Soon they came to a yellow storage container and Marshall stopped. Second nature took over and he walked up to the door, one knock with his fist, two with the back of his hand.

“Password?” rang a voice

“Excalibur sword of truth cut from my blood and stuck in” Marshall began to laugh

“Pray it's not brimstone” came from the other side

The door flew open and Excalibur embraced Marshall

“Oh he's still not picking up” said Sawyer

“I'm sure he's fine” said Miracle

“The Dragonites!” exclaimed Madame Orla

“Yes our plan is moving quickly, he should obtain the sword. Then it will be Orla’s turn” said Dominic

“I never gave him the first clue” said Professor Forkland timidly

A shock wave ran through the room as all eyes settled on Forkland.

“I tried but something stopped me” said Forkland

“Sly – could he be doing it?” asked Gray

“No! - He can't but he might know who is” said Dominic

Dominic bowed his head and disappeared.

“Excalibur” said Marshall

“Your here for the sword?” said Excalibur

“Yes and times running out – I'm sick of playing dumb!” Marshall replied “My Heartbeat Book triggered total recall that's how I knew to find you”

Excalibur sat in his chair and breathed a puff of smoke on to his desk.

“You know old friend I've known a lot about you...guarded you for two hundred years” said Excalibur

The smoke cleared and a mahogany box with mother of pearl inlay and a thumb print scanner appeared.

“Thank you” said Marshall

“Come here” said Excalibur

A million thoughts ran through Marshall's mind as he walked towards Excalibur's desk

Dominic blasted into the sleep chamber which woke the guard. Sly and Cassandra felt the energy and woke up

“Sly we have a problem...Someones already giving him the clues” said Dominic

This sentence sent a wave of confusion over Sly.

“I need you to do something for me Marshall” said Excalibur

“Anything” said Marshall

“Take this sword back to where it belongs” said Excalibur

As Excalibur placed his thumb on the scanner his eyes became cat like his ears vulcanized, his tongue morphed and became forked.

“Thisss sssword isss nothing but trouble cleanse it of the evil that it'ss full of” said Excalibur

“Who Old Friend?” said Sly

Dominic cast his eyes downward.

“We don't know, all we know is teat who ever it was sent him into Dragonite territory” said Dominic

“Arthur – It must be” said Sly

“But why?” asked Cassandra

“Because Marshall is the true king” said a voice

Suddenly a ghostly figure appeared.

“Your Majesty” said Dominic, Sly, and Cassandra

“Merlin your son is the child you for saw all those years ago” said King Arthur

Sly (Merlin) was the man who fore saw the down fall of Camelot but who also prophesied the child with the ability to restore ultimate harmony. But unlike most legends Merlin is not an elderly man, he was turned by Dominic so he could serve as Camelots leader.

Marshall took the sheathed sword and pulled it out of the box.

“Do you remember your father's last words?” asked Excalibur exasperatedly

“Golden eyes gets the sword” said Marshall

Suddenly a man bursts into Excalibur's office an arrow stuck in his back.

“Hunters I tried to stop them” said the man

Marshall took his hand and a shock ran to his shoulders, his throat and his bones. The man vaporized and Marshall felt dizzy as he lost consciousness, he felt wind blow over him.

Arthur's ghostly figure shimmered.

“Marshall has acquired the sword and along with it the power of the Dragonite Cliventovich” said Sly (Merlin)

“Dominic you better get back because Excalibur and Rinejack are on the way back to VU” said Cassandra

Dominic teleported back to the VU main campus just as Marshall's Turbinado and Excalibur hovered over head.

Rinejack hopped out of the car.

“Dean Master Dominic!” said Rinejack

“Rinejack” said Dominic

“We were ambushed” said Excalibur

Excalibur lay Marshall on the ground as his humanoid dragon body melts back into a human one.

“DM Dominic the sword is in his car” said Excalibur's

“The Hunters came on our turf for him” said Rinejack

“Yeah, add the Dragonite's to your list of allies” said Excalibur

“Thank you” said Dominic

They nodded and flew off back to the East Point Boundary
