"NOW, THAT IS IMPRESSIVE and well-deserved, in my opinion. Now, before you turn on me, I have a surprise for you," Rebekah said, causing the gates to swing open and Josh, newbie vampire, to walk in.

"Josh, what are you doing?" Davina spoke aloud, eyeing Emery who had her pretty eye fixated on him. "Get out of here."

Emery clicked her tongue, "Not so fast." An image of Klaus appeared next to Josh, holding a long, sturdy knife to his throat. "Let me go and we'll have not problems. Keep me frozen and little Josh here gets a taste of hell."

It didn't take long for Davina to make up her mind, unfreezing the blonde. As soon as she did, Emery stopped her power's continuation and the figure disappeared, a new threat emerging.

Rebekah was the one to run up to Josh, grabbing him by the throat to strangle him, causing him to choke out, "What are you doing?"

"Now, if I were Klaus, I would rip Josh's head from his neck, feed it to a nightwalker, and that would be the end of your friend..." Rebekah directed to Davina.

"I feel like Klaus's approach would be a lot worse, starting with the fact that nightwalkers don't eat vampire heads..." Emery contradicted.

Rebekah released Josh from her grip, "But hurting people is such a boyish thing to do, like how Klaus compelled your fiddler on the roof, and, while I am many things, I'm certainly not my brother."

"Yes, of course, because you're boring and he's not."

"It's okay, Timothy. You can come down. No one is gonna hurt you," Rebekah called, doing her best to ignore all remarks made from Emery.

"Speak for yourself, doll."

"He told me I could climb down off this beam," Timothy stuttered out.

"Then don't climb, silly. Am I the only smart one in the room? Jump."

"I wouldn't call that smart, but..." Emery cut herself off as Rebekah catches Timothy from his jump, placing him somewhat safely on the ground.

He pants as Davina goes up to him for a hug, "Davina, how did you do all that? How did I even get here?"

"I'll explain everything, I promise," she hugs him. They pull away as Tim places a loving hand on her cheek.

Turning to Rebekah, Davina asked, "Why are you doing this?"

"Seems to me that you're the one holding all the cards, but you don't know who to trust. I've just proven that you can trust me," Rebekah finalizes. "Now I'd like to show you one more thing. Won't take long. You can bring your friends."

Rebekah walks off, causing Emery to raise a hand, "I'm quite confused, does that include me or in anyway involve me?"

"Lookie here, last one for Davina's wrath, last one to awake," Emery called out as Marcel finally woke up from his coma-like moment. Elijah and Klaus had woken up only moments prior, immediately interrogating the blonde though she only relayed the monumental moments, like Rebekah arriving and then leaving with Davina and her crew in tow.

"Oh, isn't this monumentally awkward," Elijah added, coming over to help Marcel up.

In the background, Klaus was on the phone with Rebekah, attempting to figure out her location, "Rebekah, where are you?" Muffled sounds were heard as a smirk sprung upon his face. "Well, I tried to talk to her out of respect for Marcel, but she made it quite clear she is not our friend. My apologies if you thought she was yours."

"...blood isn't working." was heard from the other end of the phone, making Emery place the puzzle pieces together.

"No. It wouldn't. You see, the poison I compelled Timothy to feed her is quite potent. It's just a matter of time for her," he responded, making Emery throw her head back with glee at his diabolical behavior. Davina was all swell and fine until she decided that everyone else was too good for her. The little bit—ahem, witch could use a scare, even to the death.

"There is no dealing with those who threaten us. Davina sealed her fate when she stood against me. This was her choice, not mine," he ended the call.

Both Marcel and Elijah were staring at Klaus in loathing. They seemed awfully protective of Davina, considering she made one choke on blood and let the other get a stake shoved through his body.

"Oh, come on," Klaus laughed, walking through the pair. "The stench of your judgement is overwhelming. Need I remind you that Davina just bested the lot of us?"

"I could've snapped her pretty little head off her body with a snap of my fingers, but okay, let's go with all of us."

"I did what had to be done," he declared. "Don't worry, Elijah. I remain as redeemable as ever."

"So you compelled that boy to poison Davina without consulting Marcel or myself. I say us specifically because Emery, as sadistic as you, brother, would have agreed to your back-up plan all knowingly," Elijah did not question his remark, but stated.

"You know what the worst part is?" Marcel asked his rhetorical question. "Is that you're so predictable, I had to make an alliance with your brother, who I don't even like."

"I happen to have the feeling you don't like anyone in this room, Marcel," Emery contradicted, "besides yourself."

"Judging by your expression, you have something you'd like to share," Klaus snapped.

Almost immediately, Marcel was up with a comeback, "Damn straight, I do. I got a call for Kieran earlier, right after Sabine and some witches almost got their hands on Davina first."

Marcel elaborated with his recap, on the protection spell he had done on Davina.

"So when you slipped away to allegedly check on your nightwalkers, you were, in fact, colluding with a witch," Klaus scoffed, as Emery muttered 'plot twist' under her breath, "That's very clever. I suppose I should be proud."

"Eh," Marcel shrugged, "I just want to make sure I had a failsafe just in case, as Elijah expected, you started acting like you."

Klaus walked forward, berating Marcel's decision, "Except that now you've involved the witches, who, last time I checked, were enemy to us all, to everything we have, and to our family."

"Davina is Marcel's family, Niklaus, or did that somehow slip your mind as you tried to take her life?" Elijah prodded.

"No, Elijah," Klaus sighed frustratedly.

"You will call Rebekah. You'll tell her that Davina will recover," Elijah demanded. "Do wish the same could be said for that boy."

Elijah and Marcel walked off, leaving Emery and Klaus standing in the square by themselves. She walked up to him, patting his shoulder with a gentle smile.

Leaving the square herself, Emery questioned her own intentions in New Orleans while she did.
