After Emery's mental realization, she had almost immediately fled the room, catching Elijah just before his departure to an unknown location.

Not caring about where they were going, she stated as if he had no choice, which he really didn't, "I'm coming with you."

Strangely enough, Elijah was heading into witch territory. Emery recognized the voice of Monique Deveraux before they even entered the tomb, chanting in a foreign language.

Her chanting came to a standstill, speaking in English finally, "When order is restored, your winks won't be allowed in here." Monique was laying down on the floor with her hands by her sides.

Emery announced her presence, "Hold your tongue, witch."

Her reaction was almost instantaneous, sitting up straight as if the Grim Reaper itself had come down, or up, to take her soul. Eyes wide, alert with fright, she glanced at Emery warily.

Elijah stepped forward, "Well, fortunately, that day has not yet come. I need to find Sabine. I believe she's taken someone very important to me."

"And you thought I'd help you?" She chuckled, directing her response to Elijah as she stood up. "Sabine is one of us, committed to the rise of the witches."

Emery stepped forward, making the young witch take a step back. Elijah held his arm out in front of her, trying to calm Emery and not frighten the young witch unless needed. "The only thing Sabine is committed to is the destruction of my family."

"And that would be a bad thing why?"

"Like your mother, my mother was also a witch, a very powerful witch," Elijah released his hold on Emery. "In fact, because of my family, her power now flows through your veins. Now, once Sabine manipulates those around her, she will do what she has always done. She will jump into another body and disappear, leaving your witches powerless."

"Can we really call her Sabine if it's not technically Sabine?"

"No. She has the faith," Monique defended. "She will see out power restored."

"There's a way of guaranteeing this. I'll also secure the safety of yourself and your kind. Here," Elijah handed her a paper. "This is from my mother's grimoire. Celeste used a similar spell to body jump. If what Sabine says is true, when she sacrifices herself, all of her power will flow back into the Earth. However, if she has lied and tries to take another body, this spell will deliver her to a very different destination. Now please locate Sabine."

"Your way involves more chatter than anything. If you had threatened to rip her head off, I guarantee the results would have been a lot faster. Witches will die for their own causes, on their own terms, not on anyone else's. Guess you gotta admire that?"

Elijah and Emery had arrived down at the bayou after making a stop back at the square. Emery would be damned if she let another pair of God damn shoes get destroyed in the dreadful area.

"Whatever she's promised you, it's a lie," Elijah announces, causing eyes to turn over to him and Emery, standing a bit behind him though still visible.

"Elijah, it's okay. I'm okay," Hayley assured.

Emery chuckled, "I'm pretty sure he didn't ask if you were okay."

"She cannot be trusted," he stepped forward, pointing at Sabine/Celeste who was tied to a tree.

"She's the only one that can help my pack," Hayley defended her actions.

"Do you have any idea what she has done to our family?"

"Our? I believe I'm missing something here. Last I checked, Hayley wasn't your bride to be," Emery said, making a wolf on the far end snort out a wolfy laughter.
