Where did we leave off? Oh yes, the Original siblings had all been trapped in a witch cemetery with a defenseless Rebekah, a protective Elijah, and a vengeful Klaus with Emery linked to one of them.

Tiny problem, she had no idea which one and she was feeling an emotion that she pinpointed as fear, the very same emotion she hadn't felt in over a millennium.

"Rebekah!" Klaus roared.

"Walk away," Elijah instructed his baby sister.

"Don't move!"

"Leave us now."

"I can't. I'm stuck here," Rebekah revealed.

"He means leave to another part of the cemetery, you foolish girl," Emery spat, nudging the blonde Original.

"Emery, Elijah, he has a white oak stick."

"I noticed," Emery remarked.

"I brought it for you, sister," he raised it to point at her.

"Get out of his sight. Your presence here only serves to anger him. Leave him to me now." Rebekah ran, taking Emery along with her.

Her purposes were unknown to Emery. If she was guessing, she would say that since Rebekah has no idea about the link, it would be right to assume that the Trickster would immediately align herself with Klaus, leaving Elijah on a one-sided downfall.

She wasn't wrong.

Rebekah and Emery had camped out in several tombs over the night. While the Original sister was in a constant state of panic, turning her head at every little sound, Emery was more focused on figuring out the identity of her link.

"I've never seen him like this before," Rebekah said to Marcel over the phone. The moment the sun had rose, the woman had pulled out her phone and called her former, well, lover. "He's out of his mind with rage, up all night howling one obscenity-laced tirade after the next. He's gonna kill me."

"All right. Stay as far away from him as you can," Marcel advised.

"That's a brilliant strategy," Rebekah remarked, thinking the same as Emery in the moment, "but, given that that dead bitch Celeste had trapped us in here till moonrise, my options are somewhat limited."

"I'm not leaving you in there. Davina will find a loophole, get you out early. Then we can all go together." Ah yes, Davina. Over the night, Rebekah and Emery had discussed various topics, though most consisted of Rebekah worrying about her death and Emery about hers.

Davina had been brought into the conversation for a short while. It had happened while Emery was out of town, but she had been briefed about the witch's death.

Hearing that she had managed to escape it came as much of a shocker, as the Harvest was an ancient ritual that Emery had never witnessed succeed.

"If Klaus comes after us, we will take him on one hell of a ride."

Rebekah sighed, already hating the idea, "I lived for centuries looking over my shoulder, ready to run at a moment's notice. Am I to go back to that?"

"Worry about that later. Right now, just buy me some time. I promise you, I'll get you out of there." Marcel hung up.

Looking dismayed, Rebekah brought her phone down to her side with a sigh.

"Isn't that promising?" Emery sarcastically commented.

Moments later, Rebekah snapped up from her intense gaze on Emery. The Trickster was currently sat on the ground, heels thrown off in an attempt to get comfortable, with her back against the statue.
