"Liam?" Zayn calls quietly as he walks into the dark house. He closes the door behind him and cautiously walks through the spooky darkness, trying to find the light switch on the wall.
     He finally finds turns on a light and looks around in confusion.
Where was his Liam? He never said he was going back out...
     Suddenly after a few seconds, Liam jumps out from behind one of the couches, scaring the shit out of Zayn.
      "SURPRIIIIISE!!!!!" Liam yells excitedly as Zayn tries to recover from almost having a heart attack.
     "Liam!! What the fuck!!" Zayn yells back angrily to try and cover his embarrassment that he had screamed at something so stupid.
     "Happy birthday Zayn!" Liam cries as he crawls out from behind the couch and gives Zayn a big, warm hug.
      "Liam what the fuck," zayn mutters in confusion as Liam nuzzles his nose against Zayn's shoulder affectionately.
    "Liam ztop!!" Zayn insists.
      "Happy birthday!" Liam repeats with a smile up at Zayn but he only looks even more confused.
      "Liam what the fuck are you talking about?? Why are you hiding behind a couch in the dark?? What the fuck happened to you?" Zayn asks in concern that something had happened to his Liam that would make him do such a strange thing.
      "It's your birthday Zayn!" Liam says with a huge smile.
      "You've Ziad that like 5 times and it hasn't made any more sense every time you've said it," Zayn mumbles irritably.
      "Everyone has a birthday! It's the day you were born! And we celebrate it. Because without it, you wouldn't be here!," Liam explains, holding Zayn's hands happily.
      "Liam. I was never born," Zayn tells him.
      "I know! But if you're going to be A proper human now, you need a birthday. And since I don't really know when your birthday actually is, I figure today seems like a pretty good birthday day," Liam explains with a smile.
     "If you zay zo...." Zayn trails off, unsure.
      "Oh I do zay zo," Liam confirms with a small laugh. "Now come on! There's more!" Liam says happily then leads Zayn Into the kitchen.
    Liam turns the kitchen light on and zayn can't help but smile curiously as he looks around.
Zayn laughs as he looks around the kitchen that was all decked out in cute birthday decorations.
A few balloons floated in the air, and a banner saying "happy birthday!" Stretched across one of the walls, And Watson was even wearing a little paper hat that said "happy birthday!"
"Liam what is this.... Why did you do this?" Zayn asks with a wide grin.
"I did it for you! I'm celebrating you today Zaynie," Liam says as he runs his hands down Zayn's arms then kisses him.
"You should celebrate me every day, Liyum," Zayn replies with a sassy smirk and Liam rolls his eyes.
     "Well today is a special exception since its your birthday," Liam replies before kissing Zayn's forehead.
     "I could get used to this..." Zayn admits with a smile.
     "I baked you a cake today Zaynie and I really hope you like it," Liam says with a proud beaming smile as he sets a small cake on the table. He starts singing happy birthday to Zayn And Zayn just smiles in confusion but just goes along with it.
     The cake was beautiful and Zayn could tell Liam worked really hard on it. The frosting was a really pretty blue color with pretty flowers on the sides. And on the top it said 'happy birthday zaynie' in beautiful curling letters and Zayn couldn't help but smile.
"Is this why you asked me my favorite frosting yesterday at the grocery store?" Zayn wonders curiously.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." Liam lies with a smile.
     "Liam it's zo pretty," zayn marvels happily.
     "Thanks. I worked really hard. Now make a Wish!" Liam insists with a smile.
      "Why?" Zayn asks with a grin.
       "Because!! You have to make a birthday wish before you eat your cake! For good luck!"!Liam explains.
     "Can I wish for more birthday cake?" Zayn asks and Liam laughs.
      "You could wish for whatever you want Zayn," Liam tells him.
     "Okay," zayn nods then closes his eyes and makes a wish.
     "Now what?" He Asks after he had wished.
      "Now you need to blow out your candles so the wish will come true," Liam explains.
      "What the fuck this is zo weird," Zayn laughs but blows his candles out anyway.
      "What did you wish for?" Liam wonders.
       "I'm not telling you!" Zayn replies.
        "Did you wish for me?" Liam asks cheekily.
        "No," Zayn denies without missing a beat and Liam just pouts sadly.
"Fine. I just won't give you a piece of cake,". Liam shrugs as he tries to hide his sadness as if he didn't care as he cuts the cake into little pieces.
"Liam. You can't just not give me a piece of MY birthday cake..." Zayn mutters.
"Well I'm the one who made it so it's mine," Liam reasons and Zayn smiles as Liam places a piece of cake in front of him. He gives himself a piece and He even gave a piece to Watson who gladly devours it. 
"Liam this is zo good!! I love chocolate," Zayn smiles as he eats another bite and Liam smiles happily.
     "Im glad you like it. But I'm sorry this is kinda a lame party... If you want, we can see if the boys aren't doing anything and see if they want to come over," Liam offers.
     "No Liam. I like it when it's just you and me," Zayn responds with a small smile that Liam returns.
     "Bad things always happen when other people are around..... Except Niall," Zayn adds.
      "Yeah Niall's definitely the least problematic of us," Liam agrees.
      "When is your birthday Liam?" Zayn wonders curiosity.
      "Oh it was way back in August," Liam tells him and Zayn's eyes widen sadly.
      "What? We missed it? Liam why didn't you tell me!!" Zayn asks sadly.
      "It didn't really matter," liam shrugs modestly.
      "Liam don't be dumb! Of course it mattered!! It's the day you were born!! We should've celebrated! Liam! We could've had birthday cake!!" Zayn laments.
     "Next year. Funny thing about birthdays is you always have another one to look forward to. Unless you die.... But hopefully that doesn't happen for a while," Liam laughs and eats his cake.
    When they were all finished with the cake and ice cream, Liam pulls out a few wrapped packages from under the table and Zayn's eyes widen slightly.
     "Liam... " he trails off curiously.
     "This right here is The best part about birthdays: presents!" Liam explains as he sets the packages in front of zayn.
      "Zo you just get things for being alive?" Zayn asks with a raised eyebrow. 
      "Yeah," Liam confirms.
      "that's fucking sick!" Zayn laughs.
      "Yeah it is pretty cool," Liam agrees.
      "Well go on... Open them!" Liam urges as he sits back in his chair, watching in anticipation as Zayn reaches for a small box rapped in green paper.
       "It's nothing too exciting," Liam informs him modestly but Zayn's smile doesn't waver as he unwraps the little box.
       "Liam why did you buy me this?" Zayn asks with a confused smile after he opens his first present. he holds a little bottle of cologne up for Liam to see.
      "Now you have your own and you can stop stealing mine!" Liam explains and they both laugh.
     "That's never gonna Happen," Zayn informs him and Liam shakes his head.
     He opens the rest of his presents and gets a few random things like a sketchbook and some markers, a sweet Batman shirt, some candy, and a nice new black jacket.
