Her head was aching as she rubbed her forehead, sitting upright on the bed. She looked at her desk and a rose with a note, a water bottle, and what looked like an aspirin was left on top of her laptop. She slowly sulked over to the desk and sat in the small chair.

Your head will be aching like a beast.
Hope you feel a bit better.
-Thomas W.H

It was a simple and small gesture and  yet so sweet that it made her just want to write all about it. She took the aspirin and smelled the rose for a moment, it smelled like her grandmas room.
Her fingers were typing a storm and she just kept going, breakfast could wait. Sadly, at ten, breakfast was over so it didn't matter anyways but she was going to get her cup and get some tea downstairs.
Once she finished her work, she went to get dressed and chose her Dr.Who shirt, blue plaid that matched and grey skinny jeans with white tom's. She was going to walk her area so she wanted to make sure she was comfortable. She laid them out on her bed but looked at her phone and pondered.
She questioned whether to call Thomas or not, thinking it may have been just a dream the past night but she did anyways. She wanted to change the way she looked at things and doing this was the first step in many.
"Why good-morning sleeping beauty." She smiled at the phone as he spoke.
"And how's my knight in shining armor?" She tried not to sound so groggy.
"Well rested. And yourself?"
"Well enough. Thank you for the aspirin and the rose, it was very thoughtful of you."
"I would only hope so. I'd originally wanted to give you the rose during dinner but waited until after, that is until you passed out."
She wanted to cry over the phone. She couldn't believe she was passed out and had to have him take her to the room.
"I'm sorry, it must have been rough trying to get me to bed." The thought of him lugging her large body through each door and up the stairs made her close her eyes in disgust.
"Hardly even noticed. It was a trick trying to get your keys out of the wallet though since you kept trying to hide them from me."
That was it, the part she didn't remember that she now wish she hadn't.
"Gosh, I'm really sorry. There's only so much I can drink but now I know my limits."
"Yes, only three bottles of a pack, ehehehe."
"Ugh, well, at least I know now."
"So the call?"
"Ah, yes, would you like to hang out today? I've been meaning to go around to All Hollows by the tower and the Southwark Cathedral.
"How about I create an itinerary for us." She liked to make her day but having someone else do it may not be so bad.
"I do have a while, the last two weeks will be all to you then."
"Perfect." She heard outside her door. She walked over, opening the door to find him leaning against her door frame with this arms tucked across his -very defined- chest.
"This would usually startle me in the morning but coming from you, I should have only known you'd do something like this."
"If it helps, I like the outfit but didn't you wear that yesterday?" She could hear the sarcasm in his voice as she looked down and yet it made her feel better.
"You should see me in my pj's." She raised and eyebrow trying to be seductive and funny, which seemed to work with the sound of him chuckling.
"I probably should but for now, I'd like to see you in more comfortable attire. Today will be walking with short periods of driving."
"So..." she gestured to the clothes splayed out on the bed that she had ready to go out in anyways "these are okay?"
"Anything with comfortable shoes. I'd truly hate for your feet to get blisters."
"Ahem?"
Thomas just sat on the bed with his arms holding him up, legs crossed and whatnot. He just watched her until he came out of whatever daze he was in and saw her face. Her eyes were wide trying to tell him the obvious.
"Yes? OH! Right, terribly sorry, I'll just wait out in the hall."
"Thanks."
She stepped in the shower next room that was connected, finished, went back to her room and got her clothes on. She opened her door to Thomas just lounging on the floor with one of her favorite books. It was cute to watch. He looked up and smiled at her. "You can come in now."
"Thank you."
He went to the desk seat and sat with one leg over the other, leaning towards her on his left side. He sat pensively while she was drying her hair.
"What is it?" She glanced at him.
"Just thinking."
"Of?"
"How your hair would look in a different style."
"You know how to do hair now?"
"Jeremy taught me a few things. Of course it won't be the best hair style because I'm not an expert or anything but it would be my best shot." He gave her a tilted smile shrugging is shoulders.
"How about when I'm wearing something better."
"You do look lovely no matter what."
"Yeah, yeah. Just, let me put my hair to the side and I'll be fine." She spoke as she tried to control her curls with a leather tie so it still was super curly and fluffy but controlled in a center. With her hair wet, it reached the center of her back but curly, it reached her lower back but dry, mid back. She stopped cutting her hair because it'd cost too much to try and get fixed every single time.
"There, see? It's tamed but not really." She grabbed her black cardigan and put it on with her wallet, keys, and phone in each of her four pockets.
"Why do you wear this bulky cardigan?"
"It's just a body image thing."
"Is it Bad? How could you have a bad body image issue when you look amazing?"
She couldn't look him in the eyes, knowing her answer was the same answer she'd been giving everyone for years of her life. "I just know that I don't so I wear what I want but make sure I'm also presentable in public. It's common courtesy to think of others before yourself. Don't you think?"
"Well, in some circumstances, yes. However, I think the people can manage their lives quite well whether or not you are covered from head to toe only leaving face and arms bare."
"I just... feel comfortable this way. It's very hard to break old habits, is it not?"
"I don't know. Haven't had any habits bad enough to where they needed breaking."
"I know one." She looked straight at him, getting up to his eye level by standing on the step stool by the bedside. "Stop saying sorry."
"I don't say sorry often, only when it's necessary." He put his hands on his hips in disapproval.
"HA!" As she opened her phone to show him pictures and GIFS of him apologizing. "You apologize more than anyone. You bless people more than the Pope!"
He laughed a hearty laugh as he held onto his stomach "Is that so?"
"It sure is, pal. Now, aren't we supposed to be somewhere?"
"Yes, well, it's fourteen before twelve, I believe we can make brunch just down the block at the Small Village Cafe."
"Alright, but you're buying." She spoke sarcastically while she pushed her finger against his chest.
Sweet jeez...
"As the man who decided this date, yes, I will in fact pay."
"Just clarifying, making sure you know what's up." They both laughed as he gestured her out and held open the doors.
Thomas headed out the front door while Kady walked out and he tugged her sweater off. She spun around to grab it but he just laid her hand on his arm as they both strolled out of the Cottage and down the block.
It wasn't quiet but It wasn't loud, it was as almost as though you could separate the two parts of London and the other half would be loud and obnoxious while this one would be tranquil.
She stood close to Thomas as they both walked down the way, making sure the other pedestrians had plenty of walk room. That's what she wanted to think anyways.
He stood tall against her, being he was 6'3" and all but dang, he sure took the height and made it his. His royal purple button up shirt looked amazing under his navy blue jacket that matched his chino cut pants. He even wore rich brown oxfords, the comfortable looking kind of course.
"Like what you see?" He grinned down at her, she hated being 5'5" sometimes but being at his chest did have some advantages. Not that she'd take them of course. Right?
"I like the jacket with the shirt. It suits you." laughing at her own joke.
"Ahh yes, because I'm wearing one, right? How hilarious." He spoke out sarcastically but laughing none the less.
"Well, I thought it was funny. Have you heard the one joke about the priest, the murderer and the moron?" She looked up waiting to tell him.
"No, but I doubt I'd have to say anything until you tell me, correct?" He opened the door to the Cafe.
She walked right in "You have no idea." As they both made their way to the counter to be seated.
When the made into to their seats, Thomas pulled out Kady's chair and she gladly took a seat. Their waiter came over and they ordered the food they wanted.
"Okay, so I have the places we are going to go to and the main itinerary but if you want to go to other places or make stops, I'm definitely not stopping you."
"Definitely not stopping me? And why is that?"
"Because you look really happy doing what you feel. You always look like you're having some serious fun."
She looked up from her sandwich as she bit into it like she normally does. She hadn't been so self conscious of how she ate until the moment he looked at her when she was chomping down.
"Oh, sorry, I've always seemed to take bigger bites no matter what."
"It's fine, eat away."
She smiled, finishing her sandwich and watching as he eats his. Geez, the man ate like he was the prince himself but she did notice he  also ate a bit more than she did.
"You have two sandwiches?"
"Would you like to share one?"
"No, I just thought it was kinda weird. For me, I usually eat more than the people I'm with so, yeah."
"Well, during my time in Uganda and whatnot, I learned to eat as much as I was willing to forge for. After that, I always made sure to take advantage and be grateful for the food that I can afford."
