"Mr. Hiddleston! You have a meeting in- oh Jesus!" The man at the door turned quickly and Thomas pulled Kady up and stood a bit in front of her.
"Yes Christian? Oh right, let me just get ready."
"Want me to take her home Tom?"
"What time's the meeting?"
"1:30."
Thomas glanced over at the clock by the television. 8:07.
"No, I think I shall take miss Lee home. Just wait where ever and when I get back, we can go."
"Right, cool." The man awkwardly walked out of the room whilst he continued to face the other way. Thomas and Kady both giggled with each other and she wrapped her arms around his waist standing behind him.
"Are you getting a shower?"
"Why," he turned to also put his hands on her hips " intending to join? Doesn't sound too bad, could be... Fun." She swatted his chest and he just smiled. That's all he had to do for her to just fall head over heels with this man.
"No I was gonna say if you get one then I'll wait and get one after but I don't have any clothes. I have them all at home."
"Oh, well if you want to, you can borrow one of my shirts and a pair of shorts. It shouldn't be an issue since I was able to wear your lovely pajamas last time." The sarcasm in his voice for the last part had her laughing but hey, he did look great in them.
"Hurry up and get your shower."
As he began to turn, Kady called his ear again "Thomas."
"Yes?" He paused
"Did you have fun yesterday?" She moved her hand behind her head. "I mean like we should have had a good time but when you said you'd stay... for me, were you serious?"
His face seemed to deem that it wasn't even a question for him. He just looked in her eyes trying to execute any doubt she had.
"I am madly in love with you so of course I meant it." He sauntered away to the bathroom but she felt all the more better. He loved her. That was all the reassurance she needed
for the future between them. She sat back on the couch and pulled out her phone from in between the cushions -to protect it from what she thought was gonna happen- and texted Patricia.
K: what up patty😊
P: what is it? I can sense through text that you have something to talk about.
K: I did it.
P: no way, are you okay?!
K: not... not really wait what do you think I did?
P: you two became a horizontal one?
K: WHAT?! No! I meant I got him back and now things are better. Oh man, gross.
P: gross? Not exactly the word you should use when he brings it up.
K: that's the thing, I don't know if he will. Yesterday I swore we were gonna... yeah, but we watched Disney movies instead. I really liked that but what if I'm crap in bed? That's gonna suck!
P: you're an amazing person, it's all in the mind.
K: what ever lol I'm gonna call you later for a meet up to talk more.
P:alright see you later
K: see you later hot potato. Lol" I don't know. You'd think making sweet love to me would be, well, not gross."
"AHHH! Shit man, you scared me. What the hell? Wait, why were you reading the messages?"
"I was coming back to drag you into the shower with me but the conversation seemed so much more fun. I am glad though that you liked the movies." He leaned over and kissed her cheek.
"I did." Her cheeks got red again, damn her fair complexion.
"Next time I can show you how not gross love making can be." He walked away to the running shower and she made sure to watch him walk in before flipping out. Giggling into the nearest pillow was all she could think to do before bursting into a love puddle. It had only been what, a couple of days since meeting Thomas and yet she just went with it. Why ruin a good thing? The shower shut off and he walked out with a towel wrapped around his waist. "Your turn, love." He hasn't dried up completely and her mouth watered with the sight.
"Uh, give me a second." She pulled herself together and made her way to the restroom, taking her clothes off. The shower took a second to start since she didn't know how to turn on the warm water knob but once she got the hang of it, it was easy to control. As she stepped in and closed the shower curtain, Thomas knocked and came in leaning on the counter. She hadn't heard the door open or close so she continued to sing in the shower as she always seemed to do and made sure to sing her heart out.
Once she was finished with the last song, an applause broke out from him and nearly made her slip in fear. A fear she'd always had since watching any scary movie.
"JESUS!" She covered her body- or what she could - with her hands. The curtain wasn't exactly see through but if there was even a remote silhouette of her, she didn't want him seeing it. "Why would you scare me like that?" She pulled the cover away from her face, still covering her body.
"I wanted to enjoy the music. That of which I did. I must say you're a wonderful singer which means not only a great dance but singer. And here I thought I was multitalented."
The comment made her joyous. The recognition she never thought she needed filled her with a sense of completeness. Not by what he said but rather that he said it.
"So may you leave so I can get changed and done?"
"I mean, I was just going to watch, is that an issue?"
Her eyes pierced his face as though Satan himself was poking his face.
"Alright, I will be in the study across the hall to the right , 2nd door to the left of the hall."
All this information went over her head as she tried to wash her body with rose soap so she just kept singing when he left. She knew he was at the door listening so she sang higher. He laughed.
