Day by day, with writting and just being at work, the days meshed together. Kady couldn't help but be a bit proud of herself with how much work she'd done over the course of only a few days before she had to start worrying about any type of parties she was going to attend. Her life was just working right now and she didn't want anything to interfere with her-. Her thought was cut off by the toll of the doorbell to her 'flat' -Thomas kept calling it- and she groaned but walked to the door anyways.
"Miss Lee?" The postman looked like no one she'd seen but she immediately realized he was wearing what looked like a dark amber tux with a tinge lighter colored vest under with a white shirt. She noticed also that he wore cufflinks that reflected the colors upon his sleeve but they weren't the actual color. His shoes were shined to the tip and he was dressed appropriately. He was handsome at most but nothing in her eyes when she absolutely loved Thomas. Coming back to her senses and shaking purely lusty thoughts that were coming to mind, she pardoned herself for a second.
"Excuse me? Oh yes, that'd be me." She put her hands out as he handed her a box with a card on top. Without saying another word, the man left and drove off all the while Kady stood in the same place staring off into the distance from where the man was. She shook herself from her state and went back in, lying her parcel on the couch and her dogs went to sniff about. Once the dogs walked away, she knew it wasn't something of sabotage. (She'd watched too many crime shows and seen too much news to be NOT careful)
The parcel opened to a carefully wrapped satchel that was black with a white flap over and had red rubies encrusted to make a lovely design resembling Mehndi designs but a bit more simple. The note that was on the box was soon opened with it reading,
A palette of colour to follow
when choosing gown and accessories.
We can sport the same colours so
I hope they are to your liking. If
not, please tell me so we can coordinate
accordingly.
Much love from me,
~TWH
The note made her heart burst into waves of joy and elation. The sentiment was by far the cutest thing the man had ever done and it warmed her heart to think that when he bought her this, he'd thought for a second the Kady wouldn't even think twice about telling him that she didn't want it. It shocked her. Had so many people done that? She didn't even think when she texted him in reply to the message.
I loved the parcel you sent, it's perfect.
This will be very fun and I hope you can
join when I go to get everything else.
Text me when you can to confirm my hopes.
Too much love, Kady
She made it home from work that afternoon after a day of just work work work. People were being people and she just wanted to go home to her pets and die for a few hours. Going into the house and splaying herself on the floor, her dogs attacked her with an enormous amount of affection. The door bell rings.
"Hello?" She walked and checked through the peephole to see Thomas with his hands behind his back, she opened the door, and he lifted his head to see her. His smile made her feel... warm.
