One - New beginning

The bus dropped me off near my apartment. I walked down one street to enter the dark brown building, it's glass front doors swinged open as I greet Maria, the lobby-women. I walk up the stairs to the third story. I kept walking down the hallway, white smooth wallpaper with a golden constant line centered in the middle going on forever. The fluorescent lights above me casting a yellowish glow. My fingertips skim the wallpaper as I continued down the hall. Finally at the end stood my room. I put the keys in the lock, twist it and give a push to open my door. I look around to see everything that  unpacked during the summer was still in it's place. Here inside was my new apartment for a new beginning.

I moved into Shadybrook to pursue my dream. I wanted to be a writer, ever since I picked up a pencil even though I didn't know how to write but my passion began. I write short stories, and there's a school here that'll help me advance in any skills and open any doors for the near future. Tomorrow I start learning, the school is twenty minutes away from here walking, it's name is SBH, short for Shadybrook High.

I placed my purse on the floor and kicked off my white converse. I walked over to my bed and sat down. It is sort of lonely here, I left my family back in Florida where the sun was shining, here in this part of Oregon it's mostly soft breeze and cloudy. The population is somewhat big enough.

The only  bad thing in this town was an incident that happened two years ago. I was looking it up before I moved here.

It was in Florida where I was in my room and grabbed my laptop from under the bed and placed it on my lap. I searched up, "ShadyBrook incident" since I guessed those were key words.

Monster or killer?

I clicked the first website that showed up with that title.

Shadybrook is a fair sized town located in Oregon. Population 5 thousand. It's high school "ShadyBrook High" (SBH) is what makes this town most known for its versatile offered education. But something else lurks in this place, a monster who for the past years sherrifs are trying to capture.

This so called monster was first spotted near Oak Apartment .

Crap, Oak Apartment is where I'll be living at. Why should I be worried though? I bite my lip and continue reading

On the month of October close to Halloween, ten women disappeared. The night of Halloween, Shadybrook's Police Department received a call, the caller screaming they found a dead body on the side of the road near the woods. The body was soon identified to be one of the women missing. The other nine has not yet to be found. Police kept the autopsy details hidden from the public. But it was said the body had unusual details that a human isn't capable of doing.It is highly advised to be home by eight, you could be the next victim.

I slammed my laptop shut. I shuddered at what I just read. I'm not going to lie, I definitely got scared. But curious at the same time. I found out later on by "unusual details" it meant like stabbings or things to kill a person. The details didn't seem as if a human can do it so I guess people just gave it this killer the name of "monster".

Now here I am, in Oaks Apartment. Tomorrow is my first day of high school which I'm very excited for, so I decided to get my rest. I tied my hair into a bun, changed into a black crop top, and comfortable shorts. I turned off the lights, went to bed and snuggled in the warm sheets drifting asleep.
