Three - the call

Beads of sweat rolled down the side of my face.

I took off my green jacket and then my black shirt, I slid off my dark jeans and went to the restroom and turned on the shower. I ran my hands through my hair and started to think of what just happened.

It was not very normal, the tempature changed, and I heard footsteps and then that rustle but no one was there. I must've been imagining things, or it was just an animal. I really hope it was.

The water finished heating up and I took off my undergarments and stepped inside. The water was lukewarm, I took a shower and once I was done I stepped out with a white towel around my body and a white one wrapped around my hair. I dried my foot and stepped out of the restroom and into my room. I rummage my cabinets looking for something relaxing or comfortable to wear. Out of a sudden I hear something tap against my window. I completely ignore it and finally found a black lace nightgown. I put it on and dried my hair and did it in a long braid. Out of all that time I heard no more sounds. I smiled to relief and lay down, I wasn't sleepy, but to my suprise I ended up doing it anyway.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I grabbed it from under the pillow and sat up, checking the time on my clock pinned on the wall it was ten in the night. I glanced back to the phone to see a random number which I did not know of. I answered it and spoke into the phone. "Hello?"

"HI Ariana!" A familiar voice destroyed my eardrums.

"Who-who's this?" I lazily questioned.

"It's me, Amy, the girl who talked to you at school."

"Oh, Amy, hi? Why are you calling me so late?" I rubbed my eyes in exhaustion.

"Because I-" She didn't finish because I interrupted her.

"Wait. How'd you get my number?"

"The phone book. Duh, nobody uses it anymore but I still like to look at it. Prank calls, ya know?"

"No I don't know." I added with a bit tad of sass. "How did my phone number end up in the book when I barely moved into town?"

"What's up with all the questions?" Her voice sounded a bit offended.

"Sorry, it's just uh- something happened a while ago, I guess it's still bugging me. Plus you did wake me up from my sleep."

"Oh I did? Sorry Ari, I thought you'll be celebrating or something about going to one of the best schools."

"No, not that type of person."

"We should hang out tomorrow, we'll have our own little celebration. Even if you're not the type."

"Thanks Amy." I smiled at the offer.

"No pro-" The phone call ended. I took the phone off my ear and held it in my lap. Probably I clicked on Amy with my ear or maybe she did. Doesn't matter. I put the phone back under my pillow and layed back in bed pulling the sheets over me when my phone rang again. I groaned and slipped out the phone from under the pillow while answering at the same time. I brung it back to my ear and spoke in annoyed manner, "What do you want Amy?"

"Amy?" A male voice spoke. I looked at the screen to find what the number was but it read unknown.

"Sorry, who's this?"

"I'm looking for Ariana. Is this the right number?" He asked softly.

"Um-" I paused, and for some reason glanced around the room. "No this isn't her. Must've been mistaken. Sorry, have a good night."

I was going to click when the voice became serious, "Please don't go."

What the crap is this? This ain't no Scream movie. Who is this freak anyways? "Ah, see well go find someone else." I speak into the phone

"Come on."

NOPE, I quickly hung up not wanting to hear another word. I swear I'm done with all this freaky weird stuff for today. Amy must've spread my number or something, very quickly to prank call me since that's what she told me literally two minutes ago.

What a damn first day
