"(f/n)," A hand ran through my hair, "Hmm? I di'n do it." The hand traced my jaw and went onto my shoulder, "(f/n)~" I rolled onto my stomach and the hand glided down to the middle of my back and then to the side of my tummy, "Tickle tickle tickle!" My eyes shot open and I began to laugh, "S-stop! Hahaha! I'm, I'm up! Haha!" The hand stopped I was pulled into a hug when I sat up, "I'm home~." I rubbed my eyes and I realized who woke me up, "Mom! Welcome back!" Taru ran into my room and jumped onto my bed, "Mom! Mom! I missed you!" We laughed as dad watched us in the doorway of my room and laughed. Mom stood up and smiled, it's been so long since I've seen her smile. She was grumpy because she wasn't getting any work, but now she's practically glowing with happiness and positivity. "I'm going to make my famous breakfast burritos," mom said as she walked out of my room. Taru came up to my ear, "Mom's back and that means we got presents from where she went." I laughed, "Oh Taru. Stop expecting gifts all the time."

He went to his room to get ready and I changed from my PJs (Cuz story logic) into my uniform and decided to keep my hair down today. I ran downstairs with my book bag and phone in hand and sat at the table. "So how was that match against Nekoma (f/n)? Were you surprised," mom asked. "Yeah! I saw Morisuke and we got to talk. His school's volleyball team beat us though, so... Yeah," I replied. She laughed, "Well, I'm sure they did their best. Here you go, eat up." My mouth was watering at the sight of the breakfast burrito in front of me, "Thank you!" I ate the breakfast burrito and Taru ran in to get his. The breakfast burrito was a big tortilla that wrapped eggs, bacon, cheese, and bits of hash browns in it. She got the idea when she went on a business trip to California. "Wow, you guys are actually quiet for once," dad chuckled as he walked into the kitchen. *Beep beep! Beep beep!*

My alarm made me jump and I began to choke on my food, causing everyone to panic. Taru just stared at me as mom patted hard on my back, and dad quickly got me a glass of water. I was punching my own chest and I quickly chugged the water when dad gave it to me. *Beep beep! Beep beep!* Once I washed the food down, I pulled out my phone and dismissed my alarm to hear everyone pant. "Thanks for looking at me choke Taru," I said with a tone. He was now slightly mad, but he knew I was teasing and laughed, "Why did your alarm scare you?" "Because I was eating! But that was kinda funny," I began to laugh. Soon enough, everyone was laughing and it felt perfect. Mom's home, we're all happy, we're all getting along and not yelling for once.

I finished my food and washed my dish before sitting down next to mom, "So, how was Arizona mom?" She smiled at me, "It was really nice. Sure, it was hot. But the company I spoke to were really excited about getting the new tech. I also had to teach them how to use it and create programs to control it. I even got you guys something, but you'll get them when you get back from school." I glanced at Taru who put on a sad face. "So, I noticed you're running around and seem way better. You don't even need the knee brace anymore," mom commented before biting into her burrito. I nodded, "Yeah! I was even playing in the practice match the guys had two days ago. There's also this freak duo that can do super-fast quick attacks. Our team is so cool and they even practiced with Taru. They are so nice and they're coming tomorrow for Taru's party." "That's what your father said," mom smiled as she lightly tapped my nose with her finger, "are you singing this year too?"

My happy expression quickly turned into a stiff, worried one. S-sing!? In front of everyone...? "Yes! Oh please nee-chan? That's always the highlight of the parties you throw for me," Taru yelled out, giving me the puppy eyes. Dam it! The puppy dog eyes! "Mmm. Fine," I frowned looking away, "Yatta!" Mom smiled and dad began to speak, "I hate to interrupt, but you guys are gunna be late for morning practice if we don't leave now." Taru and I gasped, "Aww! We don't wanna go!" Mom laughed, "You guys go. I actually have to go repot the trip at Miyagi Tech." I smiled, "M-Tech!? Will you be there all day?" She nodded, "Yup! I have to report and get in contact with the company in Arizona to see how they are holding up."
