Guys, I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in like two weeks!! But like I've mentioned, my mother wouldn't let me near the computer until the holidays have ended. Hope you can all forgive me with this long chapter!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I had you looking in the wrong section" Hermione said as she approached the trio with a large book in her hands, "How could I be so stupid?"
It was months after Christmas, all the students had returned and all the snow melted away along with the cold winds as the sun and blue sky appeared once more from being hidden away. Hermione and Lea were in the library in their weekly study session, Harry and Ron joined them for also wanting to study for their finals but more with the fact to look for information on Nicholas Flamel, which they have yet to discover who the man is.
Hermione slammed the large book on the dark wooden table, all three of them jumping in shock as they have been so concentrated on their notes and books. "I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading" The girl said as she sat down next to Lea.
"This is light?" Ron asked from across Lea, gawking at the book that was about the length of his hand to his elbow.
Hermione gave him an annoying look as she flipped the book open to a certain page, her eyes scanned the words until her finger landed on an specific sentence, "Of course! Here it is" She said before reading it out loud.
"Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Philosopher's Stone"Hermione said as Leo neared closer to Hermione, the two witches gave each other a shocked but happy look to finally have found out about this man. Meanwhile, the two wizards gave each other a confused look as they didn't know about the said stone.
"The what?"
"Honestly, don't you two read?"
"The Philosopher's Stone is a substance that can transform any metal into pure gold and produce Elixir of Life, a liquid that can make the drinker immortal" Lea explained to them as Hermione scanned the rest of the page for any more bits of information they could use.
"Immortal?" Ron thought out loud, making it sound like he didn't understand the word. Hermione thought it that way, "It means you'll never die" she replied.
"I know what it means!" Ron cried out with a bit of anger, Harry shushed him to remind them that they were not alone.
The bushy-haired girl continued reading, "The only Stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel, the noted alchemist who last year celebrated his 665th birthday"
Lea's eyes widened to the size of saucers at hearing the age of the man, wondering if he took a potion or used a spell to live that long, "That's what Fluffy's guarding, that's what's under the door. The Philosopher's Stone" Hermione concluded as the other three took in this information. ~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
Later at night, the four of them had sneaked out after curfew to go to Hagrid's Hut so he can tell them something that might help with the situations. Lea and Hermione were most nervous at sneaking out since they did not approve to get into trouble and take away any points to their houses.
Harry was the first to arrive at the door so he knocked two times before Hagrid opened it, wearing an apron and mittens, "Hagrid!"
"Oh hello"He greeted as he stared down at them, not reacting to them being there after curfew, "Don't wish to be rude but I'm in no state to entertain"
