When Thora woke, she was in a bed. Not her own, as she could tell by the scent of her husbands cologne (or lack thereof), and she was not alone. She felt the familiar eyes of her love behind her, boring a hole into her back, sending shivers down her spine. She knew exactly what he was doing. He was sketching.

Rising from the position, she wordlessly padded over to him, sitting on the bed next to hers and leaning her head on his shoulder. Looking at the picture of her sleeping frame, she smiled lightly and continued to watch as the man she loved created from memory.

"You know," He began, his voice gruff with exhaustion, not looking up at the woman. "This would be a lot easier had you decided to sleep for a little bit longer."

Klaus looked like a perfect mix of tired and at peace. His hair was dripping a little bit from what Thora could only assume was a shower, and he was only clad in his boxers. Not that she minded at all — if anything, she preferred him like that. But he was focused on nothing but his work, sketching and shading his wife's silhouette rapidly as she watched.

"Oh, but you know how much I care to watch you work." Thora smiled as he worked on the details of her wild locks. "Besides, had I not gotten here at this moment, how would have been there to tell you that you got my right ear wrong?"

Smiling like a love-struck fool, Klaus looked toward his beauty and tucked a piece of her hair behind her right ear, teasing her with the notion of studying it closely.

"Oh, little storm," He whispered, holding her face with his hand, thumb grazing her cheekbone softly. "In all of my years and lifetimes, I can honestly swear that there has never been anyone as beautiful as you."

Thora found herself following her instincts and pressed her face more in his hand, craving his touch. The touch of his skin. The touch of his life. The touch of his soul. The touch of his love.

"Niklaus?"

"Yes, darling?"

"It's okay."

Her words deemed themselves to be unexpected to the hybrid, who simply furrowed his brows and continued with his previous actions.

"What?" He asked, looking straight into her grey eyes, seeing nothing but love. "I don't know what you mean, love."

"I forgive you." She spoke again, looking at him dead in his eyes to ensure that he could clearly see the sincerity in her eyes. "Even though every time things get to be good again and you go and muck it up, I forgive you."

Niklaus chuckled at her choice of words, but kissed his wife in thanks nonetheless.

"I thank you for your forgiveness," He spoke honestly, kissing her again. "It means the world to me."

"You're going to fix this shit, though."

"I know, Thora."

"Good." The girl smiled widely, taking her mans' sketchbook and placing it on the table, then proceeding to tackle him in a hug, burying her face in his warm neck.

Laughing, Klaus wrapped his arms around her torso and hugged her tightly, kissing her cheek over and over again, making her giggle as well.

They missed this. Just them, no drama, and nothing to worry about. Only love.
