Valen walked into the Citadel, still stunned at what had happened mere hours before. He went up to the Council chambers and pushed the doors open. The council looked at him in bewilderment.
"My boy, we deemed you dead! Darth Ravage said you had fallen at the steps of the Temple." Darth Marr exclaimed.
Valen looked at the Darths with a grim smile.
"Far from it, my brothers." He chuckled, tossing the holocron up to Marr, his facial expression suddenly turning dark. "Where is Ravage?"Darth Ravage was in his chambers when he heard Valen was alive. He thought the boy would be a rotting corpse by now. His little lie had backfired and now this..boy threatened everything. He knew what Valen was and was going to do should he live, and now he had triggered the chain of events leading to his destiny. He had to run, Valen was coming for him.
Valen ran down the hall towards the hanger. He caught word Ravage was fleeing Dromund Kaas to go to an old Sith temple on Mustafar, a world enveloped in ash and lava. He tore open the doors to the hanger as he ran and darted towards his ship. He set coordinates, and hit the hyperspace lanes.
He touched down on the landing platform at the southern temple enterance, ash raining from the sky as the lava bubbled in rivers below him. He force charged through the temple, planning on ambushing Ravage. The old cyborg undoubtedly sensed him, but with the Emperor's powers, he could hide his location. He reached Ravage as he exited his personal starship. Valen leaped and ignited his blade, pointing it down towards the Darth. Ravage ignited his own and the two blades clashed, Valen's deep red and Ravage's a solid purple. Ravage growled and pushed hard against the young lord.
"How did you survive?" He growled
"Oh, y'know, my ancestor is Vitiate, so I was immune." He replied, chuckling. "And now, well, I'm gonna kill you for trying to have me killed." He slammed the blade down, Ravage barely dodged in time. The two dueled across the platform. Valen was surprised how nimble the old cyborg was, and how quick he was. The two clashed over and over, Valen catching him in the knee and across the face several times. He didn't remain unscathed, he got burned on the neck with a strike, and a blow to the arm. Valen force pushed him back and electrified his saber, then spun it around and slashed down across Ravage's face, burning his eyes. The Dark Lord screamed and dropped his saber, which Valen caught. He held the blades above his head, ready to strike him down.
"Wait!" Ravage cried out, shielding his face with his arms. "Please, let me explain myself." Valen hesitated, then disengaged the lightsabers. "You...you're a Child of the Emperor. The Child was prophesied to take down the Council, and rule as the new Emperor!" Valen contemplated this, then asked, "Why did Vitiate not cut me down then?"
"Because, he wills it!" Valen rolled his eyes, then ignited his blades.
"I've heard enough, old man." He twirled the blades, then drove them into Ravage's chest. He grunted, then fell to the floor as Valen pulled out the weapons. He looked at the ship and scowled. He raised a hand, the ship raised with it. He thrusted out his hand with a growl and the ship went diving into the lava lakes. He heard the faint, panicked scream of the pilot inside before it crashed into the magma. He peeked down and cringed. "My bad!" He chuckled, spinning on his heels and walking back to his ship.
