The quote above fits Marilyn perfectly in this part and also because she may not fear what those eyes can see that no one can, but she is frighten that there could be specific spirits she can't control.

------------

It was around seven and we only had one more hour to prepare everything before the dance. Everyone in the gym almost looked tired as they continue to decorate the room and hear the nagging from Eleanor. Her face stayed the same - drained, but she pulls it off when she continues to check on her clipboard that she held in her hands. Each time her hand scribbles something on there, there was a hint of relief. Also, the gym was nearly done and very fancy.

Louis still hasn't given me a call so I assumed his phone died, or he just turned it off. Though knowing Louis he wouldn't put down his phone even if you asked him to. So maybe he's just being caught up with something. I hope it wasn't family matter or anything serious. No, it couldn't be? He'd call me if he needed me especially since we did grew closer. That last encounter we had that I can recall when he told me Zayn was "bad news" - was also the day we grew inseparable. Louis was a brother to me. After all these years of not knowing each other but went to the same school had unexpected turns. I would've never thought this crazy, hilarious, and sweet friend could be a part of my life. Call me cheesy, but I like cheesy.

My stomach turned to knobs and I heard the low grumble inside. Great, now I'm craving food-mainly cheese. I walked mindlessly around the gym to figure out what I could do with the fake stars Eleanor handed me a while ago. These were pretty much our last decorations to put up the thin threads that hung on the ceiling but it just seemed like we had enough. Looking back I saw that Alfie fled the scene after setting down the ice on a gray bucket. He left quickly before I can thank him once again. Which was weird, where else what he have gone to?

"Isn't this just perfect?" I was accompanied by Ellie as she slung her hands on my shoulders. The strong scent of her perfume radiating on me.

I looked around for a bit, "you did an amazing job, Ellie" I smiled ear to ear.

"Ellie? I didn't know we were on nickname bases?" her smiled disappeared and for a second I thought she hated me now, but it was once recovered with a huge smile.  "I like it, Marie."

I cringe at her new nickname for me but I don't say anything. The rhythmic of the music slowly reached my ears and realized one of the council students had put on music.

I was a quick wet boy, diving too deep for coins...

The song suddenly relaxing me for a bit as I let it take over me. Shutting my eyes and the weight off my shoulders was a remedy for resting. A slight chill past by me for a bit and I didn't quite had put in thought of it. I looked behind me and Eleanor has already left, probably to continue to admire her work. Then again it's partially every other council student's work too, but I guess she did think of the theme. Star gazing.

Once again when I thought someone has turned on the AC I looked around again to find out where the chilling atmosphere was coming from. To my right a lot of council students gathered around and talked among themselves and to my left was the double wooden doors of the gym that was opened all the way. Maybe that's where all the frigid air is coming from. Before I can process my vision I could have sworn a dark figured ran pass by through the halls. Suddenly I start to feel all dizzy again like I did back in the car while I was on my way here. It was the same sentiment that I felt each time I encounter this dark entity. Mixture of nausea and anxiety.
