Matt and Nora stumbled in the front door, holding on to each other. Nora broke away to go to the bathroom. She peed, washed her hands, washed off her makeup and put her long black hair in a ponytail. She looked in the mirror and thought about what was about to happen.

She went back out into the living room and Matt was gone. She didn't see the kitchen so she looked in his bedroom. He was standing there in his boxers, looking at his phone while it was plugged into the wall. He looked so good standing there that it made Nora hot between her legs. She hadn't planned on sleeping with him tonight but she was pretty sure she was going to. She walked in and sat on his bed. Matt sat down beside her.

He put his hand on her back and Nora turned toward him. As crazy as it sounds, Nora swore she felt some kind of energy in the air. She got a woozy feeling in her stomach as she looked in his eyes. Suddenly Matt got up and walked out of the room. For a second Nora was afraid he changed his mind about her but she brushed it off and walked into his closet. She took everything off except her underwear and grabbed an old Pantera shirt to wear.

When she came out Matt was lying on the bed sipping from a bottle of water. His eyes scanned from Nora's legs upward until he was looking her right in the eyes. Nora couldn't take it anymore. She took the shirt right back off, cut the lights and climbed into Matt's bed.

It was early the next morning when Nora woke up dying of thirst and bursting to pee. She looked at Matt who was sleeping next to her. He looked even better than he did last night. Nora stood up to go to the restroom and realized she was completely naked so she grabbed a t shirt and her underwear from the floor.

The noise in the bathroom must have woken Matt up, he walked into the bathroom as Nora was brushing the taste of cigarettes and last night's booze off of her teeth. He gave her a dimply smile and she melted again.

"Good morning Nora," Matt said, walking up behind her and pressing his body to hers.

Nora spit and rinsed her toothbrush then turned around and put her face close to his. She considered saying something but decided to just kiss him instead. Then she let go of him and walked into the kitchen to make coffee.

As she was measuring out the water and coffee she thought about last night. As much as she had loved Scott, as irresistible as he was to her at some point, she had never felt anything like what she felt for Matt. She had been in love before, she'd felt butterflies when she looked at someone before but this was different. However, she couldn't ignore the fact that she was scared. She was scared to get hurt again, scared she was going to fall for him harder than he fell for her, scared he was still in love with his ex-wife.

She had to talk to Matt and see how he felt.

Nora poured two cups of coffee and carried them into the living room.

"Hey grab my cigarettes off the table and come on the patio with me please." Nora said sweetly.

Matt smiled and stood up to follow her. When he walked outside Nora was sitting at the table soaking up the sunshine. He put her cigarettes and the lighter on the table and sat beside the unattended cup of coffee that waited for him.

"We need to talk." Nora said as she grabbed a smoke. "This is gonna be hard for me to say but-"

Matt cut her off. "Did you change your mind about me?" He asked with a half smile.

"God no," Nora laughed, "the opposite actually. We haven't known each other long and we're both 'damaged goods' as you put it. I just need to know what we're doing here."

"Well Nora," Matt said as he grabbed her hand, "I honestly don't know. But I do know that we have something. I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. For some reason I think we were meant to meet. I've never felt so strongly about anyone so fast."

Nora looked down at her cigarette. She wasn't exactly sure what she had wanted to hear but what he said made her nauseous and excited. But she had already told herself what happens will happen. She squeezed his hand and looked in his eyes.

"Nora stay here with me." Matt blurted out.

"What?" Nora said. She heard him but wanted to make sure.

"Don't go back to Tennessee. Live with me."

He was dead serious.

"Matt, are you sure? This is so quick." Nora was suddenly nervous.

"Nora please. Trust me."

All Nora could do was laugh. Was this even real? What the hell was she supposed to do?
