Tomorrow Nora's song would be released. It would be a surprise, they had only announced the album release date yesterday. Nora was really happy with the finished product and the band was certain people would love it.

But still Nora lied awake staring at the ceiling. She was nervous and excited all at once. She looked at Matt who was lying beside her sleeping peacefully. She found herself awake staring at him often.

She decided to get up and have a cup of chamomile tea. It was better than laying there letting her mind wander. She checked the time, 2:42 am. There would be a teaser posted on social media in just four hours telling everyone there would be a song released at 9 am. The more she tried to quit thinking about it the more it invaded her mind.

Nora took her tea out on the patio to have a smoke and look at the stars. It was a hazy night so she couldn't see much but every so often there would be a small clearing in the coulds so she could see the full moon.

Nora laughed. "Excellent timing. No wonder I feel so strange."

She decided to let all the stress and worry go as best she could and focus on the fact that her dream had literally come true. She'd written a song that millions of people all over the world would hear.

The alarm went off at 7:30 am. Nora shot awake turned it off quickly. Matt had already gotten out of bed. Nora found him at the kitchen island, his nose in his Macbook.

"Good mornin' love." Nora greeted him.

"They just posted the teaser a few minutes ago. The fans are freaking out." Matt said with a grin.

Nora didn't say anything she just made her way to the fridge for a glass of water. She was actually more excited than scared, finally. A couple moments later her phone dinged. She had a new text message.

"I am so excited for you sis this is so amazing I can't wait to hear your song"

"Thanks J I'm nervous"

"don't be you're an amazing writer"

" :) "

She was glad to have James's support. He had recovered well and was almost back to normal.

Nora walked back over to Matt and put her arm on his shoulders. He was still reading through the band's Twitter and Facebook feeds. After a moment he turned to Nora and kissed her forehead.

"This is gonna be awesome Nor I promise." He assured her.

She smiled in return.

In what seemed like the blink of an eye it was 8:55 am. Five minutes until release. The social media feeds were going crazy. It was almost time.

Nora sat on the couch biting her nails. She promised herself she wouldn't check her phone until a while after the song had been released, to give people time to listen. Matt was outside cleaning out his car. Nora couldn't fathom being so nonchalant about this, but Matt had been through this a thousand times.

Suddenly Nora's phone started dinging over and over. She picked it up, people were posting on her Facebook and tagging her on Twitter.

"Congrats Nora!"

"Check this out: my friend Nora Black wrote this song!"

Nora was very happy her friends and family liked it but that was only a small piece of the puzzle. She decided to get on Matt's laptop and check out the band's feeds.

They were blowing up. The fans were freaking out.

"Who is that girl? I love this song!"

"A7X never disappoints! Love the new track!"

"Is that the same girl on this song as the one on the Kerrang cover?"

"Different but amazing love Syns riff"

There were 100 positive comments for every negative one. It was looking good.

"Hey! I lost track of time how's it looking?" Matt said as he slammed the front door.

"Shit you scared me, yeah I think it's going well." Nora smiled as she got up to let Matt look.

His eyes lit up as he read the responses.

"See? I told you they'd love it." Matt smiled.

He got up and gave Nora a tight squeeze.

That night all the major rock music magazines and websites had posted on their social media feeds about the song. The YouTube video had 850,000 plays. Nora couldn't believe it was real.
