I knocked the door and enter the cabin after hearing come in

"Good morning Mr. Zakir"

"yes, Ms. Veronica"

"The financial figures on capital expenditure on the present project are having material differences as provided by the cost department and the actual figures.Before I provide my final report I want to cross check with these expenses" I handed him the file showing reports of the project. He checked it briefly

"There is a minor difference in the values," he said checking the file.

 "I don't think the crosschecking is necessary, it will be the intervention in their work." Mr. Zakir said.

"Yes, they are minor, but the reasons provided for the differences are not making sense," I said with my firm voice.

He thought for a few seconds and then said: "you have my permission crosscheck and present the report before this weekend" with a nod. I guess from the past experiences I was right almost all the times we argued on business matters, so he didn't argue this time and given the permission.

"Okay " with that I left the cabin and dictated my team their work. My team consists of fewer auditors who are really efficient for this work with more than 3 years of experience.

At lunch I go to nearby café I don't eat in the office cafeteria as I don't want to socialize with anyone. I have my lunch with Zach, he's my bodyguard. He has been appointed for my safety. To keep tabs on me he also works in the same office, but we are in a different department, so no one in the office knows he's my bodyguard. Co employees think that we are friends or maybe more than that as we eat together, but nobody dared to question me yet and We leave the office at the same time.

Zach is a bodyguard aka friend for 2 months after I joined the Zakir corporation. Before Zach the two bodyguards appointed for me were really strict at their profession (like Salman Khan in Bodyguard movie) it's like suffocating and I started throwing tantrums and became crazy that I don't want a bodyguard. But being Vinay, my over-protective brother, he removed them and at that point, Zach entered as my bodyguard, he is kind of friendly and understanding. Since then he is my bodyguard.

Zach gives me space when I need alone time, we have that understanding. I know he won't leave me when I say I need alone time, but he stays away from my sight by being righteous to his profession and also giving me alone time at the same time.

After lunch again went to the office and completed the remaining work. At the end of the day, the cost department got to know about the cross check audit, and they became furious and giving me daggers. What, it's my work to report if there are any misrepresentations.

I left the office and picked up Zee had my daily routine of dinner, playing with Zee, teaching her ABCD and 1234 and retired to bed.
