13.She is an Angel

"Okay next question, why did you become blood-red anger after seeing her, I guess her Name is Tanushri," I asked carefully. Her eyes became distant for few seconds.

As I thought she will not reply, she replied.

"Long story"

"We have whole afternoon," I said. After few seonds she sighed and replied.

"Okay, long story short, she was a girlfriend of my best friend, it was going good, but she did something, no actually many things that now I don't appreciate her presence." She said but I wanted to know more so I said.

"I guess now she is behind Mr. Kartik," I said.

"Well, Kartik was my Best friend and Tanushri is her Ex-Girlfriend." She said looking in my eyes.I made my eyes wide acting as if I didn't know.

"Is anything bothering you, you can tell me. Someone said sharing the problem will solve half of the problem, you can trust me" I said and kept my hand on her hand, which was resting on the table.

"I trust you Zakir It's just that I don't want to recollect the bad moments of my life, Because of her I have to leave my Hometown away from my parent and my Best friend." She said looking down towards her plate. Before I could console her, my phone rang. I cursed under my breath and excused myself and picked the phone.

After the phone call, I resumed my lunch the game of 20 questions is long gone now we are conversating on random things.

"Veronika I saw you yesterday evening in the lobby" I paused not knowing how to continue. Before I speak, she cut me

"I didn't expect to see her and as I said I don't appreciate her presence," She said.

"You are a calm and Peace loving person Veronika and your yesterday actions says she is really a bad experience"

"If you feel any harm from her or anything, you can tell me anytime. Okay." I said.

"Okay. Thank you" She said with sincerity.

After finishing lunch, we got back to our work and busied ourselves.

Soon days passed by, Veronika stopped avoiding me.

Friday:

Today is unusual I do not know why I am feeling Unusual.

 Now I get it why because I did not have my breakfast.

"Ms. Meena"

"Yes Sir"

"Where is my breakfast?"

"Today Ms. Veronika is on leave sir," she said.

I guess you are thinking what the link between Veronika and breakfast is. She brings me homemade breakfast every day. Suddenly my all energy levels went low thinking why she took leave.

'Is it something to do with Tanushri?'

'Is she fine?'

'She never takes leave'

'Why she haven't informed me that she's taking leave today'

Different scenarios came into my mind and I lost my appetite.

"Should I order Breakfast sir," Ms. Meena asked.

"No" I replied.

I called her but she didn't pick the call, I called her again but still no response. Every Half-hour I called her but no reply. I started feeling uneasy around 2.00 A.M I went to her apartment to check on her but the door was closed from outside That means She's not in the home. I called her again standing outside her apartment, I heard Veronika's phone ring coming inside her apartment.
