"Emma!" Matthew touched my arm, "What's wrong? Have I done something wrong?"

I took a few minutes to calm down to where I could actually talk.

"M-Matthew, why is it so easy for so many women to get pregnant, and I can't even get pregnant. We have tried so many times and it fails! I'm so angry with my body! All I want is a baby, your baby to hold and to take care of! Is it too much to ask for!"

I put my head in my hands and breathed in deep.

I felt Matt scoot closer to me and wrap his arm around me.

"Listen to me Emma. If it's meant to be for me and you to have a child, then so be it. If it's not then we will look into another option."

"You don't understand Matthew." I looked up at him. "I want to feel a baby grow inside of me, and to kick and to hear it's little heart beat inside my womb. I want that so badly."

Matthew kissed my head and stayed quiet.

"Let's go home baby, you need some rest."

"Okay."

We drove home in silence. I didn't mean to explode like that, but I just can't help to be angry sometime's.

Thinking about all the girl's in which it's so easy for them to conceive a baby, and I and Matthew have tried over five time's to get pregnant.

It just doesn't happen

After getting home I went to the kitchen, made some tea, and plopped into the soft sofa.

"Would you like me to make you anything love?" Matthew put his hand on my bare foot.

I only shook my head.

"Look Emma." He sat down next to me in the floor. "I know this is hard, but you can't cut me out like this when we talk about that subject."

I closed my eyes and opened them.

"Matthew it's so hard." I said softly.

He took my hand in his, and kissed it.

"I know I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it's just a matter of time babe. We can get through it, and if it happened it does if it doesn't then I guess we will just have to move on."

"Yeah I know it's just hard on me." I closed my eyes, my eyelashes wet from my tears.

I breathed out and relaxed. Matthew sat there and said nothing just watched TV.

I fell into a deep sleep.

"Baby! "It's 8 you need to get up and ready for work." I felt a soft kiss on my lips. I opened my eyes and Matthew was right above me.

"Gimme another." I pulled his face to mine and put my lips on his.

I felt his body come closer to mine I was laying on my back, and he was leaning over me.

"I think I can handle that." He smiled against my lips. He kissed me tenderly.

Sighing heavy I opened my eyes and looked at him.

"I love you." I put my hands on his face, and smiled.

"And I love you too. So very much!"

I got up and went to the bathroom and started the shower.

"Care to join your lady?" I said with a flirtatious smile.

"I'd love to." He took his clothes off and got under the running water. I did the same.

"Mmmm." I put my head on his chest; with my arms around his waist it felt good to be so close to him.

"I love listening to your heartbeat, it's like a lullaby." I kissed his chest.

"You make it go crazy babe." He smiled, and rested his hands on my waist.

I turned around with my back facing him. "Wash my back?" I smiled.

"Sure why not. Ha." He poured soap into his hands and rubbed it all over my back, massaging my lower back with his long fingers.

"Oh babe! Mm, that feels so good!" I closed my eyes and slouched my back for him to rub more.

He placed soft kisses on the back of my neck, which gave me chill bumps all over my body.

I turned back to him and smiled "I need to wash my hair." Deeply kissing his lips, I moved him over to get under the water.

I finished my shower, dried my hair put panties and a bra on.

I got a pair of black scrubs out and placed them on the bed; I pulled my hair back into a messy bun, put my makeup on, and got dressed.

After I put my socks and white Nike shoes on I walked down stairs to Matthew.

My handsome boy was laying on the couch asleep. I guess it was a hard day for him too.

I leaned down, and kissed his lips. Going into the kitchen to get a pen and paper to write him a note I felt a pain in my stomach, but I just ignored it.

'Hey Honey, I'm off to work call me when you wake up I have a Long shift so I'll be up :) By the way, you super cute when you sleep ;) I love you forever and ever!

I finished my note with a kiss in red lipstick on the bottom.

I grabbed all my stuff got my keys and walked out the door. I got in my car, and again I was off to work.

The feeling in my gut told me this was going to be heck of a night. Oh boy.

I walked into the Washington Hospital, and walked up to my floor.

"Hey Em's!" My friend Colt said.

"Hey Colttt." I gave his a smile. "Another long shift ahead?" I plopped down into a comfy chair.

"Yeah I'll take a guess and say yeah it will be Saturday is always busy." He shrugged.

"Well hopefully not too much surgery, I'm just about worn out with it, I need a day off, and it's been 8 days."

"I know I agree I've been working' and having to go home to my newborn, it's just about to kill me."

"How is she doing? Is she growing up to fast?" I smiled while typing on the computer.

"Of course, she is getting big; she will be 18 in no time." He frowned at me.

"I need the scrub tech team that is on duty right now to report to OR 8." A loud voice called on the intercom.

"Well our night has begun huh." I clipped my ID card on my shirt and began walking to the OR with Colt.

"Emma, you won't be scrubbing on this one." The head surgeon said.

"what? "Why not I'm on duty." This was confusing; I've never had a problem with scrubbing in.

"Emma, you're not assisting today, because it's a family member."

"w-what? Family? Who is it! Is it Matthew?"

"Emma I need to get in there with them I will come update you soon." He said, and walked away.

The door slowly came to a shut right in front of my face.

Who could it be? Why won't anybody tell me who it is? This is going to be a very long night.

I pulled my cell out, and dialed Matt's number.

"Hello?" The voice of my sleepy husband came on the other line.

"Babe! Your okay?!"

"Yeahhhh, what's wrong are you okay?" He said

"The surgeon told me I couldn't scrub in on this surgery because there is someone in my family being operated on."

Then, it hit me. The only other family I had was my brother. Oh God...Not my brother.
