Dan has a flowershop next to Phils tattooshop. They've never talked before (both busy with work) but one day Phil comes in to the shop for a gesture. (@AtticEmma you're going to love this one)
Dan was busy watering the plants of his flowershop when the ringing sound of an incoming customer sounded. He looked up to see a dark-haired man in a checkered shirt with short sleeves, his arms and neck full of tattoos and a piercing in his eyebrow, smiling at Dan. He recognised him: it was Phil, who had opened a tattoo shop next to Dans flower shop a few months ago. Unfortunately, they had never actually had a conversation. "You're Phil, right? From the tattoo shop." Phil nodded and shook Dans hand. "I'm Dan." "I know", Phil said, pointing at the board outside with Dans name on it. "Of course", Dan laughed. "What can I do for you today?" "Well," Phil said while handing Dan a piece of paper, "a client of mine wants a specific flower tattood on his back, but I don't know how it looks. I thought maybe you could help me out for a bit..." Dan read the name of the flower and nodded. "Yeah, I do have one of thos e in here. But you do realise you could've used the Internet, right?" Phl shrugged and let out a smile while looking in Dans eyes. Was it a blush on his cheeks, or was it just the light? "I thought it could be nice to get to know each other, as we're practically neighbours." Dan laughed and put down his watering can before he went to look for the flower. "Ah, here it is. Your client really has a good taste, you know. This is one of my favorite flowers." Dan appeared, carrying a pot with a type of beautiful blue roses. Dan noticed the flowers actually had the exact color of Phils eyes... "Now tell me", he said while putting down the flowers, "how are you going to make a tattoo out of that?" Phil carefully took one of the roses out and studied it. "I usually make a drawing, and then I can put it on some kind of sticker. All I have to do after that is ink the lines and add color." Dan went to get a noteblock and a pencil and asked Phil to start drawing. "This is going to take a while. Do you have a table I might use or something like that?" A little later, the blue-eyed boy sat down drawing at the table in Dans kitchen while Dan made him some tea. It was cute to see how Phil was so concentrated, his tongue poking between his pink lips and his eyebrows furrowed. Dan didn't want to interrupt him at all, just watching. It was like he had all the time in the world. Phil, on the other hand, surely was concentrating on the drawing, but he couldn't help looking at Dan every once in a while. He found Dan really cute, with his sweater paws and all those flowers around him. He had caught himself smiling ever since he stepped into his shop. Dan just had no idea of how pretty he was. The brown-haired boy silently put a mug in front of Phil, who happily took a sip of the hot green tea. It was delicious. Phil wondered why he hadn't come here sooner.
Soon enough, the drawing was finished. Dan stared in awe at the beautiful piece of art Phil had created. The flower looked so realistic, so alike. Dan couldn't help but smile. "Maybe I'll come around for a tattoo too one day."
