What if I told you soulmates exist? Would you believe me, or would you laugh at me, wipe the smile of my face and walk away? I hope you choose to believe me, because what I'm about to tell you is absolutely true: you have a soulmate. Someone on this planet is destined to make you happy, and that someone is waiting for you to brighten up their world. I have doubted this, really. Until I met him myself. Let me tell you about the first day I met Dan. It was a cold winter day, snow filled the streets and my breath formed clouds in the dark sky. My frozen hands tried to warm up in the pockets of my winterjacket. It was calm in the streets of London, calmer than it normally would've been at the weekend. Tourists didn't come in this neighbourhood, full of normal houses and apartment buildings. But he did. I was walking pointlessly, as I tend to do quite often. My head in the clouds, thinking about lots of things at once, thoughts crossing paths in my overwhelming mind, as usual. My feet chose my direction, nothing to do with my brain. I turned around the corner, the mist that blurred my vision cleared and I was greeted with the sight of a boy. We both froze at the same time, my heart beated in an unknown fast rythm while my eyes studied every detail, his dark brown hair pulled in a fringe similar to mine, the parallyzed look in his chocolate eyes with golden reflections, his rose-like lips, the cream color of his skin, his dark wintercoat and black jeans, his sneakers in the white snow, his long fingers, fingers of an artist or a piano player. I would later figure out he was both. He was only a few meters away from me, only a few steps away, but neither of us moved. It felt like magic, both of us standing perfectly still in the light of a lonely street lantern. I was convinced it was a dream, it had to be, because I had never felt this wide range of emotions when I locked eyes with him. It was as if everything stopped, as if an invisible power pulled us together, closer, until we were centimeters away from each other. Of course I had fallen in love before, but it had never felt like this huge desire to touch him, to hear his voice, to kiss him. "I'm Dan," he whispered, a voice so soft I never wanted him to stop talking. "Phil", I said, my voice hoarsh, filled with the desire I felt for him. "Let's just skip the introduction", he continued, and his hands gripped my face, sending radiated heath through my body before he planted his lips on mine and we both melted, collided as if we had finally found the one piece of ourselves that had been missing. We had never spoken before, but it felt like we had known each other for years. It felt like I finally came home.

That is how I found my soulmate.
