(Nothing but an excuse for fluff)
Phil woke up, his blue eyes immediately looking for Dan's sleeping face, which was next to him. Phil smiled happily. He thought he would never get used to the warm feeling of waking up with this sleepy face next to him, Dan's brown, curly hair spread on the pillow. It was hard to believe that they had only met a year ago, when Phil was on a vacation in Paris. Dan actually was French, born and grown up under the shadow of the Eiffel tower. And even though his accent was still quite noticeable, he now spoke English really well, although he wasn't quite used to the weather in London. Phil found it cute when Dan threw French curses at the rain outside, or quietly mumbeled with a grumpy voice when it was cold. Today, however, the sun was shining bright through the window, causing Dan to open his eyes. "Good morning, chérie", Dan said softly. Phil replied by kissing Dan on the lips. "I'll get you some breakfast. " He got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to make toast. Dan might've been French, but you'd never see any baguettes here, because they both prefer a nice toasted slice of bread in the morning. Quietly humming, Phil continued, taking plates and cutlery out, making coffee for Dan and tee for himself. Today was going to be a very special day, as Phil had planned a big suprise. He hoped he wouldn't be too nervous... After having breakfast and making themselves ready for the day, they went to the living room to watch some anime. "Dan?" "Yes?" "How about we go to the park this afternoon." "Yeah, sounds good. Oh no, Yuri! Quelle stupidité, merde! " "You know, you're really cute like that."
In the afternoon, both of them were having a good time, talking and holding hands while walking through the park. Phil was getting slightly nervous, but Dan was too busy chatting to notice. "Dan, wait a second." They stood still, Dan looked at Phil with a confused look in his eyes as Phil cleared his throat. "Dan, je t'aime, je t'aime comme les étoiles aiment la nuit. Je t'aime pour toujours,je t'aime jusqu'a ma vie est fini. Je t'aime tellement, mon chérie." Dan was visibly touched by the French poem, tears glissening in his eyes as Phil took his hand and bent down on one knee with a box in his other hand.
"Dan Howell, will you marry me?"
