{Lu's POV}
I looked to my left to see the pup that I can't seem to get rid of. Morgan. Yes, he's been following me home everyday since last year. Anyone who doesn't know his strange ways would think he's stalking them. But me? No, I think he simply doesn't have anything better to do. You know, with all those people waiting in line to be the next person who declares their love for him!
"What are you thinking?" I hear Morgan ask as my eyes wander back to his face. I can see why girls would fall in love with him I mean, with those handsome green eyes and chocolate curls. Any girl in their right mind would like this guy. I suppose that's where I benefit. I've never been in my right mind!
"About every girl who thinks your funny!" I spoke with a teasing voice. "You wanna know what I heard?" My mind was planning how this conversation would go. I plan on getting all the 'gossip' that I can from this jokester.
"What did you hear?" His voice shooting straight back with that teasing tone. He always did seem to go overboard with those pranks and scares. I'd normally get consumed by his tones and play along, but not today. I had gossip to hear and I would be getting it out of him no matter what.
"I heard you were confessed to by Lia. She was crying in the girls bathroom afterwards. Although, she did talk about you being sweet and comforting her!" I could barely stop myself from laughing." A small giggle bursted from my lips, "You being kind? It's just wrong!" He stared right at me as I held my stomach from laughter.
"We're here!" He said quietly. "Bye..." In the back of my head I knew that his tone was sad in a way. But I let it go before I could think about it. He turned around to walk away, receiving no answer from me. I wandered into my house without a look in his direction.
"Why did it seem so intense?" I whispered as my mind kept going back on that one moment. His voice was so frail and depressed. He seemed guilty but that wasn't the tone that frightened me most. It was how he seemed almost to be apologizing to me. Not to Lia, who he rejected, or Elly, who he constantly scares, or anyone he has ever wronged. Me. My eyes wandered the room before I thought about yesterday.
Ni had been talking about the past and how she met Elly. It's funny how I almost never think about that. Mostly because it's depressing because I was so monotone and I'd rather be happy! Even though my mind said no, my heart said yes. So here I was, half-asleep, going over my past.

I looked towards the window of this classroom. Everything is so different. The students were listening to Mr. Reed's speech as I zoned out. He's boring compared to my old teachers. They would always come up with new games and sweets for their students. This guy looked terribly stressed and the bags under his eyes almost made him look like he got two black eyes. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if he did, because even if he does look like some giant he can't even control my classroom. This twenty to thirty year old man couldn't control a bunch of second graders.
"Luci, please pay attention." I heard his voice boom through the classroom, my head still faced the window. "You won't want to go into tutoring for this." The warning in his voice didn't faze me. He was just a teacher trying to control his students and failing miserably.
"If I would like to go to tutoring I will. I don't believe it's your choice whether or not I listen, Mr. Reed." My monotone voice rang through the room. I didn't even bother looking up to see his face when I heard the gasp. All the other children were 'ooh'ing and 'ah'ing as I sighed. Boring.
Sooner or later, class was dismissed this was our recess period. Not that I was going to go outside and get messy. I'm not a pig! My mother would scold me for the dirt, anyways, so why would I even think about it.
"Hey." I heard a soft males voice speak. Lifting my head as curiosity set in, there stood a boy with dark blue eyes and straight light brown hair.
"What are you doing?" I asked as he swept his bangs away from his face. The look he gave me was priceless and made it quite hard to keep my monotone face. This guy is odd. There he stood with his fingers in his mouth, tongue out, and some weird eye movement. A wink? I don't even know at this point...
"Making friends!" He paused before continuing his explanation, "I only have one and she says it's lonely without a third wheel. So, will you be the third wheel on our tricycle?" My eyes popped out as a giggle escaped my lips. This boy is rather adorable.
"A tricycle?" I questioned with giggle intervals. He gave no answer, just a quick nod and a cheesy smile. "Alright, who is she?" I gave in right before he could pull another face on. This guy is terrible! Yet, wonderful at the same time.
"Her name is-" This strange boy was interrupted by a high-pitched squeal.
"Mar!" A strange girl with vibrant blonde hair screamed. "Who's this?" She immediately backtracked at the sight of me.
"My name is Luci, and you guys are?" I politely asked with my hands behind my back. My mother would give me a golden star for being this polite. Mostly because it's a rare phenomenon.
"I'm Elizabeth, but only call me Elly! Got it?" She continued on with her high-pitched, and rather annoying, squeals. I nodded in agreement for her request.
"And I'm Marcus." The strange boy said. He seemed to hate his bangs as he once again, forcefully, pushed his bangs away.
"But call him Mar!" Elly exclaimed as I once again nodded. "Is it alright if I call you Lu? Because Luci is rather hard to say when rushing!" I sighed.
"But Luci is only two syllables." My voice sounded more exhausted then monotone. These two seemed to be able to break my facade. But not in a good way.
"Yeah, but one would be much less work! It's settled, from now on you're Lu!" Elly exclaimed while marching out the back doors.
Mar and I shared a shrug as we followed. Today was going to be long and exhausting, yet fun. Because it wouldn't be in my everyday schedule, it would be new. And I think I like it already!

I held my stomach while laughing. Those were great times. They were the times that I was a closed off person. Without Mar and especially Elly, I probably would still be a monotonous girl with very few friends. Maybe even no friends. I suppose that's why I feel so close to my group, because we're a nonjudgemental group. Yet we still function like the rest of the world. We, as humans, still thirst for a new source of gossip. And we still argue. Yet, somehow it gets settled and everything ends up alright. That 'somehow' is what keeps our group together. That 'somehow' is Elly.

A/n- Hello! I hope you enjoyed this chapter and the explanation of when and how Lu met Elly. This one probably seemed more boring because honestly, Lu is a rather simple person. Sure, she faces problems, if you can call boys falling at her feet problems, but she seems rather normal compared to Ni. Don't worry, though. Lu will get much more interesting later on. I promise! Thanks for reading! Bye-bye!
