{Mar's POV}
I was in the car with my mom as we drove towards the adoption center. My mom has been talking about adopting another child for awhile now, but I thought it was another one of those things we say yet never actually do. It seems I thought wrong though, because here I am. Sitting in a car, about to meet my new younger sister. All I've been told is that her name is Isabelle, Belle for short. I also figured out that she is in the grade below me, so she's a freshman. The more I wait the more curious I get. This whole time I have been receiving tons of texts from two people... Ding! There's another one!

"Is anyone else going to audition for the play?"-From Elly
     Ding!
"Ur already thinking about that?! It's in 2 mths!!!"-From Lu
    Ding!
     "Im auditioning, tho!"-From Lu
"You guys talk too much! I'm muting you!"-From me
I texted while clicking the mute button and setting my phone down. We had arrived at the adoption center, after all...
"Come on, Mar. Let's go see your new sister!" My mother said, trying desperately to encourage me. You see, I didn't want a new sibling. I'd rather be an only child. It will most likely be a nuisance. I suppose a fifteen year old is better than a three year old, yet I still am annoyed by the thought of having a new sibling.
"I'm coming..." I grumbled as we walked inside and talked to the people at the front desk. We were told to wait fifteen minutes and that she'll be right out, great...
"You really will like having a younger sibling!" My mother said, almost as if pleading me to be persuaded, "it'll be so much more fun! Just think of her being with you and your friends!" My mother's rant was beginning and I don't plan on listening.
"Yes, mother. It will be very exciting." I said, monotonously. My eyes drifted closed while she continued to talk. I hadn't gotten enough sleep yesterday night and my mother wasn't helping me try to stay awake.

A sudden weight pulled me down as I collided with the floor, "Ow..." I heard a rather high-pitched voice exclaim.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" The high-pitched voice once again spoke while the weight was lifted off of me. "I'm Elly!" I turned around to find the owner of the voice, a small girl with blonde hair, her hand was held out for me to grab.
"It's alright, my name's Marcus." I said politely, while grabbing her hand. She was so small that it surprised me when she easily lifted me up.
"Mind if I call you Mar?" Elly said while running in front of me, "I just love nicknames, and I find that Mar fits you perfectly!" I nodded my head along with her words and tried to walk a little faster.
"May I ask why you were running in the rain?" She turned around and looked a little flustered as her hands collided with eachother.
"Um, well... I was kind of trying to climb a tree..." she giggled nervously as I stared.
"A tree? In the rain?" I asked, dumbfounded, while she nodded. Her blonde curls bounced up and down as her chest rose. My eyes were glued to her beautiful eyes, though. The tiny specks of green could be seen in the brown when you took a closer look. She was pretty.
"Hello? Earth to Mar!" Elly called while waving her tiny hands in front of my face. Knocking me out of my delusion and causing me to be flustered.
"S-sorry... you're eyes are so pretty..." I explained myself. You see, I've been raised to be as polite as possible. Things like, always say thank you, say excuse me, say your welcome, open the door for others, never be rude, and any other things that my mom would make me practice. I've also been taught straightforwardness. My cheeks felt on fire as she patted my head and smiled a great big smile.
"Thanks! You're rather handsome yourself with those ocean eyes!" Elly said while smiling. It made my heart pound as she grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a house. "Wanna be my friend?" Her high-pitched voice asked as we approached the house.
"I'd love to!" We both laughed and ran into the house. Her positive attitude made everything seem so happy.

I eventually awoke from the dream to see a girl with short dirty blonde hair.
"I'm belle. And you are?" Her tone was almost rude as she shook my hand.
"Marcus. I'm your older brother." I put emphasis on older as she scowled and turned her glare away. My smirk never left my face as we walked towards the car.

Soon we arrived home and Belle set her stuff in her room. She hasn't left since. She's probably doing 'girl stuff.' Suddenly, I remembered Lu and Elly texting me, so with curiosity, I opened my phone. 246 messages!! My eyes widened as I scrolled through them. Only now thinking back on the dream I had. It was of Elly and I's first meeting. Also the first time I realized I had a crush.
I sighed while thinking of Elly. When suddenly the rude voice was back.
"Someone has a crush!" Belle said, teasingly. "I can see it in your eyes! Who's the girl? Someone I'll meet, huh?" I shook my head side to side while blushing.
"You can't fool me! I may be new to being your sister but I know what guys act like when they have a crush!" I looked at her as if she were stupid.
"Yes, because boys were totally falling over themselves for you, before!" I tried sarcasm but failed like always. She giggled and turned around.
"Well, more boys fell for me then girls fell for you." Belle answered without looking back, she started to walk when I called back.
"Wait, how many boys confessed their feelings for you?" My tone was almost disgusted.
"One." She said while closing her bedroom door behind her. Making me sigh and face palm. This girl is such a pain already...
