{Elly's POV}
A slight ringing was heard from the sides of my head.
"Wakey, wakey!" Ar's voice could be heard right next to the ringing noise. I turned my head away from all the noises and put my pillow over my head.
"Twenty more minutes..." My grumbling was ignored as Ar pulled the covers off of me and then she grabbed my pillow.
"Wake up or be late and die from mom's wrath!" Her teasing yet serious voice made me jump out of bed.
"I'm up! No need to threaten me like that, I'm up!" I exasperately walked towards my drawer. "Can't we just skip school?" My gaze fell on a white polo and a pair of blue pants, the usual.
"Well, you face mom and I'll go to school! Bye!" She ran out of my room as I shook my fist at her. She always gave realistic reasons as to why I never broke rules. For example, skipping or being late to school would mean I would get a good scolding from my mother. Not only that but my chores would be tripled and I would have to do everything my mom says for the whole month. Her punishments make sure that I have too much to lose so I won't do it.
Quickly, I put on my shirt and pants then proceeded to run downstairs. Grabbing a poptart and my school bag I ran outside. My eyes wandered the area before settling on Ar and Lia. Lia had her arms crossed and a scowl on her face while Ar was whistling.
"Sorry... I woke up late!" I exclaimed while walking behind them. Little whispers of "like always." and "loser." Could be heard from the two but I didn't address either about them. It's true, I hate waking up so I tend to run late every single day. No matter how hard they try to wake me.
"Did you guys hear about the new girls?" Ar said while facing forward.
"Girls? As in plural? More than one?" I asked while waving my hand around and counting my fingers.
"Yep! One is Mar's new sister and the other one is a random girl from Austin." Ar was slightly laughing as she turned around, now walking backwards. "I heard Mar absolutely despises her!"
"Really?" Ar nodded while I stood astonished, "But Mar likes everyone! Even that one Texas History teacher we all hated!" Ar laughed and turned back around.
"Looks like he doesn't like everyone. He hates his adopted sister! Although, I have heard she doesn't quite like him any better." She looked up as the sun was barely showing through fog.
"So it's a mutual hate?" I asked as she nodded. We were quiet for a moment as I processed this information.
Mar has always had a soft spot for people. He just loves them! So why would this random girl make him so angry? My mind continued to wander until I was nudged on the back. "We're here!" A smiling Ar said as she left for her first period.

I sat down in math as the teacher walked in. "Alright class. Today we have a new student." Ms. Murphy nudged the new girl with her hand. "Go on and introduce yourself.
"My name is Isabelle Sea." She stood straight with her hands on her hips, "But I'd like to be called Belle." Her voice was rather strict but when she started to move all the tension in the room wore off and she was casual.
"Thank you Ms. Sea. Please go sit next to Ms. Valentin." The teacher pointed towards Ni as Belle walked over. Her eyes fell on the desk that sat in the back of the room as she sighed and sat down.
Soon Ms. Murphy began her lesson and more than half the class blocked it out, including me. This was stuff we were supposed to have down by now, but teachers tend to over-teach certain things and under-teach others.
I looked over to Belle, Mar's new younger sister. She must be in honors math if she's in my math class. I could see her eyes scanning the room probably searching for those who she could get along with.

After class I walked with Ni to English and we took our assigned seats. Soon the teacher walked in and introduced another student. "Hello, my name's Layla Davis!" Layla smiled as she was appointed a seat right behind Ni and I.
"Okay, today's assignment is a group project. The members of your group will each write a paragraph. In the end each team will combine the paragraphs. We'll have one team leader from each team read it out loud for all to hear, got it?" As students around the room nodded we all began to write.

"You should've seen everyone's expression as we read ours out loud!" Ni was bragging about our essay. It had been the best in class and has now found it's way to Ms. Remina's wall.
"Yeah, but it wouldn't have been that great if Layla hadn't made that paragraph about ramen!" I said, as everyone laughed and we all continued to eat. This time our table had Mar, Belle, Lu, Ni, Morgan, Lia, Ar, Layla, and myself. Belle and Mar would constantly send each other glares while Lia scowled as Morgan flirted with Ni.
Everyone was talking for awhile as I stared at Layla in wonder. Mar was chatting up a storm with Lu about how many chips he could fit in his mouth. While he said twenty, Lu said five, and secretly I'd say about three. Belle was happily talking with Ar but she would constantly turn to glare at Mar, Mar did the same. Lia and Layla were talking about being rejected by guys, how relevant... Ni and Morgan were subtly flirting as small glares were sent from tons of girls across the cafeteria, even from Lia, towards Ni. Then it suddenly hit me.
"Layla..." Her head shot up as she stared at me, "Your nickname can be Lays-Chips! LC for short! It's perfect!" Everyone laughed as I smiled and Layla looked at me as if I was odd, which I am!

A/n- Hello! Now we've gotten to the calmer part of the story. (hehehe not for long!) We added a few more characters, don't worry no more will be added. Okay, I want to be clear that Belle isn't annoying, like Mar made her sound. Last chapter was in Mars words/thoughts So it was/is what Mar thought/thinks. Thanks for reading! Bye-bye!
