Chapter Three
Emma's pov
One year later
Dear journal,
It's now been a year since my mother and stepdad have died and a lot has happened since then let me catch you up since I never wrote anything after I got off that plane. Once Cam and I met Esme and Carlisle they both drove us to their house.
Now it wasn't anything like the houses I've seen growing up, their house is in the middle of the woods and it is absolutely beautiful.
I remember how my jaw dropped as soon as it came into my view. It honestly looks like it belongs on the cover page of a magazine!
I also remember Cam's disbelief and the rooms we had were amazing. Cam's room was huge and very green with a large king-sized bed that had green and black sheets on it. There was a black desk and a black marble dresser. The rug he had was tan and very soft.
I remember my room had purple sheets on the king-sized bed. A purple couch and a purple recliner.
The only thing that wasn't purple was my desk and dresser, which were white. The rug was white as well and the walls were light purple. It was absolutely beautiful! I'm also really glad nothing was pink as I hate that color.
The move to their house went as smoothly as it could have, although meeting Edward was awkward because I accidentally stumbled into his room while looking around for the bathroom and was looking at all his CDs when he found me.
I remember Cam had to carry me over his shoulder to get me to meet the others after that but once I met the other four I quickly realized that even though all the kids are supposed to be adopted they all kind of look alike.
They even look like their adoptive parents. They have the same five features in common.
They have the same gold eyes, the same pale cold hard skin, and let's not forget that they are all extremely gorgeous!
I remember my first day of school. It was really awkward cause only the teachers knew I was mute I almost went the entire school year without being bullied.
However around halfway through the year this guy Mike tried to take advantage of me and luckily a few guys saw what was going on and got him off of me.
Although there were witnesses everyone thought I was lying for attention because he graduated from Forks High School the year prior to my arrival so they all knew him, well everyone but the Cullens and my brother, Bella only pretend to for Edward’s sake. Which is why I also didn't make any friends this past year.
I even got to see my half-sister Isabella again for the first time in years. She goes by Bella though, and to be honest, she is kinda bitchy and still awkward as hell but she did take me and Cameron to see Charlie, our father.
I could tell she didn't want to but it made the Cullens happy so she did it. I found out that Charlie likes watching baseball and he loves his beer. He also told me and Cam that he's the chief of police in Forks. Oh and we also met his best friend Billy; he kinda reminded me of Bill until I saw what he looked like completely.
Cam bought a house a little over 8 months ago and I moved in with him. It's nice that we have our own place, quiet, but now it's like Cameron doesn't remember I even exist.
That's about all I have time to update on, I'll update again when I feel like it.
Sighing I closed my journal and threw it softly onto my desk that sits in the right corner of my room. Cam never has time for me anymore; he's always either at work, taking his college classes, being a student-teacher at the Forks Highschool or sleeping and well of course eating, showering, etc. I, however, am now 18 and changed schools so that I could go to high school in La Push.
Mostly because Cameron moved us out to La Push and driving to the high school in Forks sucked when it got cold out. On the plus side, it's close to the beach and I even got a job at a diner. I'm a waitress there.
I talk now, not very much as I'm anti-social but I really do talk. Cam doesn't know though he still thinks I'm mute. I used to talk to the Cullens too well only Jasper and Emmett after we moved out so they know everything going on with school and Cameron and well Edward does too because you know the whole vampire mind-reading thing.
Yeah, Jasper talked to the whole Cullen family and they all agreed it was okay to tell me because I started questioning him and Emmet as to why I never saw them eat anything and why they all have the same eye color even though none of them are related to each other.
But they moved like a month ago and never even told me so I haven’t really given them much thought
I'm also a lot more depressed than what I was before we moved out here and I know it's sad to say but it's true, after transferring schools I started to get picked on and when I started dealing drugs it mostly stopped
Today is a Friday and I had to skip school today because my boss got a really good deal worth a lot of money and I'm the only one he trusts to do the higher-paying jobs. So now that it's over I don't really have much to do, I mean I could still go to school but if I did there would only be an hour or so left.
Walking into the bathroom that is directly across from my bedroom I stepped on the scale and it took a second before the numbers read 143.5.
I gained a lot of weight recently. Maybe I should start going on more runs, I could run on the forest trail that leads to the beach and then read or something off my phone till I can watch the sunset.
Nodding my head to myself I walked back into my room and changed into a black pair of PINK sweatpants and a matching black long sleeve PINK crop top with a dark blue tank top underneath it.
