"You are horrific at downing drinks, you know." Billy said whilst slapping a spluttering Ally hard on the back.
"You made me laugh! You can't make a girl laugh when she's downing her drink."
"I'm sorry chick, next time I dare you to down it, I promise I'll keep a straight face." He pouted and she clutched her stomach, the laughing made her choke further. She took another sip to clear her throat.
"Next time you can down one with me."
"And this is why I love you, Chick. You're like the sister I never knew I needed, someone to challenge my drinking. Tonight will be fab, I can already tell." He put an arm around her shoulder, they probably looked like an incredibly happy couple and they were, despite for the fact he was gay. They weren't that kind of couple. She finally had a gay best friend. Life could only get better from here. With the added help that Vince had hired for the party she and Billy finally had a shift off together and they were going to make the most of it. They were taking the ferry to get to the larger neighbouring town, which had a few clubs.
"You two love birds having fun?' Grant sat down at the bar next to them.
"Too right, I'm taking this fine thing out clubbing. Want to come? I could do with an extra piece of eye candy." Billy was the biggest flirt.
"As much as I would love to. I can't. I'm on call tonight." That would explain why he was drinking water, the pub was closer to the station. It was close enough that he could be there immediately if he got that call.
"Maybe me and Ally should just jump off the ferry, then you'd have to come."
"Maybe you should, I wouldn't mind saving Ally whilst she's dripping wet." Okay, he was just a bad of a flirt as Billy.
"Behave Grant." She warned. "Besides, I'm single and happy."
"Now that's a shame. Although isn't the phrase, single and ready to mingle?"
"She doesn't need to mingle. She's got me." Billy gave her a smacker straight onto the lips. "Right, I'm heading to the little boys room. When I come back we'll have one more drink and then head out."
Grant leaned into her, and whispered into her ear. "That kiss do anything for you?"
"Well, it did turn me on a little." She may be single and happy but she knew how to flirt, not that she had done much of it recently.
"I don't believe that. If you ever need a real man to make your knickers wet just call me."
"I thought you were behaving?" She reminded him.
"I'm only messing, I like making you blush. Its real cute."
Grant was a ladies man — a true bad boy — a heartbreaker. She wasn't shocked that he was single but when he fell in love she wanted to be around to see it. It would knock him on his arse.
She saw Grant nod and spun around to see who he was looking at. Dylan was standing inches away from her. She supposed he must be on call too. He gripped either side of her of her face and stared at her.
"Don't call Grant. Ever. I can take care of your knickers. Call me instead." He said right before he kissed her into oblivion.
"Hmm, I don't think friends stick their tongues in each others mouths, Dylan." The rushing in her head began to calm down.
He shrugged. "So sue me."
Billy strode over and took Ally's hand. "Now that you've finished abusing her mouth, we're off to do some dancing." He wiggled his hips. "Try not to miss her too much boys." He winked at them whilst leading her out of the pub. They had some dancing to do.
