Their victory pumped in his veins. They had won their fifth match in a row and it was all thanks to him. He was on a high. Bouncing on the spot, he needed a way to discard this extra energy, to calm him down. His team mates around him roared, each as ecstatic as himself and he smiled. It had been a good game and he was leading his school to victory. He began to peel his sweat stained top from his torso and chucked it in his locker.
"Tonight's the night, huh, Brick?" He heard from behind him. Brick, known for his killer punches and quick feet, was the captain of the team and a prize arsehole. The boy was a boxer and hit like a brick.
Apparently.
"Yeah, tonight's the night I fuck that bitch" Brick replied.
Anger immediately soared through him and in one swift motion, he slammed Brick against the lockers, the crash booming around them. The boy may hit like a brick but he was bigger, stronger.
"What the hell, Cooper?" His team mate asked him, trying to push him away from their captain. Dylan didn't move. Didn't release his painful hold from Bricks neck. "Shut up, Cartwright." He snapped. Pushing him further against the lockers, Brick smiled at him. He was on a rush from the thought of potential fight.
"Don't fucking talk about Ally like that, you filthy shit."
Brick's smiled turned into a snarl. "What, you jealous, Cooper? Jealous that it'll be me that ruins her, takes her for the first time."
He drew his fist back and stabbed it in Bricks face. The contact breaking his nose, blood spurting out. His head snapped back and hit the lockers behind him. The pain didn't register on his face, instead his smile returned.
"She'll never be yours, Cooper. She's mine."
He dropped his hold and Brick fell to the floor. Their team mates rushed around him, preventing a fight from breaking out. Preventing Brick from being hurt again.
He stormed out, punching a locker on the way. He hated the dick and his Ally was too good for him. He was going to make sure it ended between the two of them and soon, before that shit broke Ally's heart.
Peering out of his window, he watched as Ally marched down his front garden. A look of rage distorted her gorgeous face. She had grown into a beautiful woman. Jumping from his bed, he ran down the stairs, taking two at time and opened his front door before she had a chance to bang on it.
"You punched my boyfriend. What the actually hell, Dyl?" She screamed at him.
"He deserved it."
"He didn't deserve to have his nose broken as well!"
"Yes, Al. He did." He stepped to the side, letting her storm past him and watched as she quickly made she way to his room, obviously not wanting his family to hear their argument. He followed closely behind her and when they entered he shut the door quietly behind him.
"He's a dick, Al. I don't understand why you're with him. You deserve to be with someone who's as perfect as you." Jealously tore at him but he tried to ignore it. He was looking out for her because it was his job, always had been. No other reason.
"He told me you went crazy for no reason."
He snorted. "Of course thats what he said." He had known the moment he had hit the boy that he would spin the truth to make him look like the bad guy. "He was talking dirty shit about you. He's just using you, Al"
Her eyes moved widely from side to side, reading his face. "I don't believe you." She said but she had used her lying voice, he recognised it immediately. She wanted to believe what she was saying.
