"I can't handle much more of this studying." Sky states flopping back on my bed.
"I agree. I feel like all I've done is study for weeks." Kenz adds.
"Ah, Kenz? That's because for the last two weeks that is all we have done." I sigh.
"Char, I thought the photo hunt thing was to give us a break from studying?" Kenz asks.
I nod.
"Well let's call the boys and go do one! World knows Carter and Luke could use something positive after that loss Saturday."
Skylar sits up, practically throwing Kenz and I off the bed.
"Yeah. I don't think I can take another night of my brother moping around the house."
Carter and Lucas are part of the local footy team. In the last few weeks Sky and I have made an effort to go watch the boys play. Unfortunately the last game, we got our arses whooped bad. The boys have been taking it rather hard too. Even though there is still plenty of time to make the end of season finals. And I have a feeling that our beloved Smithwick Bears will win the grand final this year.
"Okay, we can make a new list to take pictures of while we wait for the boys." I suggest, as Kenz sends the boys a message.
"What are the groups this time?" I ask.
"How about girls versus boys? If we are making the list, we can add things that the boys would hate to do, but we would find easy enough." Sky grins evilly.
"Woman, you are evil." I pause. "I love it." My own grin forming.
Kenzie explains that the boys would be here in an hour. Within the hour we had to wait for the boys, we had compiled a list for the photo scavenger hunt, with a few evil additions.
"Dancing the tango, really?!" Carter almost shouts.
"Greenie, dude. Chill." Lucas slaps Carter's back. "You just gotta partner up with one of the girls."
"Well...." I drag out.
"It's actually girls versus boys this time." Kenz explains, smiling wickedly, Sky and I soon following.
"I love you guys, but there is no way I am dancing with either one of you boys. I don't care if we lose points." Isaac claims, backing away with his hands up in surrender from Carter and Luke.
"Com on! It's just a bit of fun, don't be party poopers." Sky elbows her brother.
"I'm still not doing that one. I mind doing the rest, they don't seem that bad. It's only five points we will lose." Isaac states, the other boys grumble their agreements.
"Okay. Let's meetup here in about two hours. That should be enough time right?" I ask locking up my front door.
Everyone nods, while Zac and I set timers on our phones.
Just we we go to split up, I go to give Luke a kiss but something flashes in his green eyes and I stop short. In the corner of my eye I see both Sky and Kenz watching us.
"So, where is Grandma today?" Sky asks, linking arms with Kenz and I and leading us in the opposite direction the boys were going.
"Oh, she baked something for the weekend market. So we went to take it down to the lady running the lady running the baked goods stall."
"What did she make?" Kenzie's sky blue eyes sparkling. "Was it her brownies? Have I mentioned how much I love your Grandma's brownies?"
"Yeah, she made them." I said, shaking my head and trying to control my laughter. "And yes, she saved some for us all. Okay Kenz, all of us." I emphasise the last part, directly facing her.
