"Okay, so Carter and I got bored last night-"
Lucas laughed, throwing a chip at Carter. We had gathered at the food court at the plaza upon the request of the Green siblings.
"What was there no sport on your numerous sports channels Greenie?"
"Nah, they were all repeats. Anyway, Sky thought we could make up a list for another photo scavenger hunt."
I look to Isaac sitting diagonally from me, dred setting in.
It has been a few days since I found out about Lucas' cheating, and when Isaac got Carter and Sky to come over that day we didn't tell them a thing. I guess I just didn't want it to be true and explaining it again would make it more so a reality.
Lucas goes to reach for my hand, instantly I pull back and notice Isaac glaring at him.
"What are the groups?" Isaac asks.
Okay so you, Charlie, and I will be one group." Styler explains. "And Lucas, Kenzie, and Carter will be the other group."
I don't really want to be here. Isaac knows that, yet he dragged me out of the comfort of my bed anyway. I was perfectly content in watching Fairy Tail in my room, alone, ignoring the real issue.
Everyone nods and the lists are handed out. We split up and Sky leads our group towards the park.
"Char did you want to climb the tree too or take the photo?" Sky asks.
"I'll just take the photos, I don't really feel like being in front of the camera today." Sky looks at me skeptically. "What? I have a pimple okay." I say pointing to the nonexistent blemish on my forehead.
From the corner of my eye I see Isaac look at me as if to say 'just tell her already'. But I can't, I can't tell Skyla about what Lucas has done. She already didn't like him for me, but this would just be proving her point and I don't want to be the cause for her to ruin that friendship with him.
"Ah okay." She hesitates before following Isaac up the tree. "Just make sure you get my good side okay."
"You have a good side?" Zac enquires, resulting with him being hit on the leg.
"Well, no."
"I knew it."
"All my sides are good!" She beams.
We end up taking about five more photos before Zac pulls me away from Sky.
"She is your best friend Char you have to tell her."
"I will. Just not today please." I beg.
Reluctantly he agrees and we continue with the scavenger hunt.
Throughout the time we are out taking the photos I keep to myself, only really talking when Sky or Zac talk to me.
"Okay that is enough!" Skylar stops once we have reached the meet up point at the plaza. "One of you better start talking because I know something is up and I want to know what."
I look to Isaac, whose eyes are pleading at me to tell her.
I remain quiet.
"Well?" She persists.
Isaac opens his mouth.
"Isaac, please." I beg.
"Char, come on." I shake my head. "If you won't, I will."
I turn away and keep my mouth shut.
"Lucas has been cheating on Charlie." I hear him explain.
"What?!" I spin around seeing Skylar ready to go find him and inflict a lot of physical harm.
