Cordon lays three feet away from me facing down. I reach up and case my arm around Chase's neck, glad to see him.

"Thank.....god..you're here" I said, holding my tears.

"You ok?"

I didn't answer, just nod in his shoulder. I didn't want to imagine if Chase didn't come in and save me in the nick of time. I would be gone. Devour by that pervert!

"You're safe now" Chase assure me.

But the ending isn't there quite yet. Cordon is back on his feet, readying to lash forward; face clearly in rage.

"HOW DARE YOU INTERRUPT US!" he scowls. "I WAS JUST ABOUT TO ENJOY MYSELF.... AND YOU HAD TO RUIN IT FOR ME!"

With no hesitation, he sprints forward grabbing Chase and knocking him down to the floor. They both fought with Chase in the bottom, rising his arm to protect himself from receiving any disaster blow. Cordon tries breaking through Chase's arm defense but it didn't grow any successful. He then snatches Chase's fingers and pluck his teeth into them. Chase roar in pain but Cordon didn't budge and remain biting the fingers. Chase wiggle his arm free and struck a blow straight to Cordon's throat causing his voice to shatter and his breathing to decline. Chase took the opportunity to slam Cordon backwards plummeting his head to the ground. He grabs Cordon face hard and tight and smite it down on the floor with such violence that a slushing sound can be heard entering the shallow room. The sound came from the impact of the Cordon skin to the floor. Blood gushing out and splattering in every direction.

Chase face is the same as mine when I beat the reapers with my own arms. The face of satisfaction of beating your enemy, and holding their life in the palm of our hands.

I stop Chase from his action, allowing him to regain a better judgement. He gazes down beneath him and is shock of his own action.

"What have I done?" he mutters. His hand covering his face with a glob of blood stuck in his arms.

"You save me.... That's all that matters" I lean my head to his shoulders.

"But I never done anything like this before.." he said.

I wrap my arms around his once again. "You did it to save me".

The answer relieves him. It reduces the surge of panic forming inside him. Soon after the doctor comes around. Her face blows in tremor the moment she sees Cordon's body lay unconscious on the floor. She took one glance at me and understand the whole situation. However, that didn't relieve her of her fright. The shockwave knocking her body in alarm kick into fear. She begins panicking about the body now dropping down on the floor of her lab.

"What do we do?!" she panics. "If they found this body.... Oh my god...I wouldn't even begin to imagine what would they do to me... they'll fire me... put my ass in court martial... I'll be spending the life in prison...no..NO..NO!

"DOCTOR!" I grip the side of her arms tightly. "Don't panic.. we'll handle this.. and plus you didn't do anything... you're innocent."

That calms her nerves for a little. "Do you know any place in this base that we can dump this body?"

She shakes her head, but then she turns her head. "Maybe if we could use that"

"Use what?" Me and Chase asks.

"The disposal area" she remarks.

Chase and I glances one another. "What's that?" I ask"

"It's where they dump the leftover food and the garbage" she said. "Nobody ever inspect that area. Once the garbage is dump... they are out of here the next morning.. courtesy of the garbage truck.."

"Okay" I note. "That's a good idea.... I would work.. where is this place?"

"It's just outside the cafeteria"

"Great" I turn to Chase. "Help me with his body.. we need to dump this body before anybody gets into the cafeteria"

Chase and I both clutch the body in our end, and raise the body from the floor. Blood's trickling down on the side of his head crossing his cheek, dropping down on his chin. My body still shivering holding his body. I'm still scared he might open his eyes and knocks me down and finish the job he started. No! He's dead.. I'm sure of it. I couldn't let this man haunts me. I have to suck it up and drag his body so we could dispose of him and that's the end of it.

Both of his trace our steps to the outside hall before the doctor closing behind us. "What should I do?" she asks.

"Nothing." I said. "You've done everything to help us... let us handle this on our own."

The doctor wasn't please with my answer but she didn't retort or object. She lets us to our way. The journey back to the T junction is dragging slow with the body in our arms. Soon as we reach the T junction, both of us carefully gazing at the door for any sign of movement from the other fugitives. The line is clear. Good.

We make our way through the right hallway and into the cafeteria. Chase enters first to check if the surrounding is clear. He returns confirming the coast is clear. We both slog forward into the cafeteria. I scan the whole compartment for the sign for the disposal area. I look around until I see a sign of a man figuring holding a garbage bag. Bingo!

We tug the body straight before a sound dawdle in the back. I heave the body firmer. The noise is apparent, closer and nearer. It's the sound of a footstep, creeping and clucking into our direction.

Cluck, cluck, cluck

Next a swoosh sound rips in the air. We turn our head backwards only to see the silhouette of a figurine standing on the sliding door. It's the doctor.

"What the hell are you doing here!?" I scowl softly.

The doctor lingers closer. "To help of course... be your lookout"

"I thought I told you to stay in your lab!"

"I can't.. it's too quiet"

"Fine... go back to the door and check if there's any people coming here... and if there are people.. alert us.."

"Okay!" she hops back to the door.

Chase and I continue our staggering journey into the disposal area.

"How did..you know where I was?" I ask Chase, catching my breath in the process.

"Woke up the sound of people arguing... some latina chick with an English dude" he said. "Next thing I knew you weren't there... so I asks them if they saw you and they said you went out on your own.. so I walk out straight and there I heard the sound of the doctor screaming. I ran as fast as I could and then I saw him..on top of you...I guess.. something just ignites in me and I just act based on my guts.."

I smile. "I'm glad you came... I wouldn't know what would happen to me if you didn't show up...I would probably have been –" I stop talking.

"Hey... don't think about it.. The important thing is you're safe."

My smile widens even bigger. Chase is truly the first person ever to make me feel safe. Who knew three days ago, he was just another target that I would need to kill. Now, he's the man that just save me from a horrid experience any woman could suffer.

We finally arrive at the door. Chase grips open the handle and the door arcs open. We stagger outside into the disposal area. The area reeks of filth, unhygienic stench. Rows and mountains of leftovers and scraps of food. The whole area is a sea of garbage. A place befitting for a man such as Cordon. Chase digs a hole beneath the garbage ground and we drop the body into it and cover it in a stack of waste. Nobody would ever found his body here. Tomorrow his body would be scrap in the unknown lost for the world to see.
