"There you are Hannah! We've been looking all over town for ya'!" Malcolm said.
"You and Angus getting along?" Bon asked with a perverted grin. I snickered at his look despite my racing heart and shook my head.
"We're getting along just fine, and not with those sick fantasies." Bon laughed.
"Where is the little Cupid anyway?"
"He didn't ditch you did he?" Malcolm asked protectively.
"No he went to find a quarter for the pay phone, we were just about to call you guys." Angus came walking up right then.
"Pennies, pennies and pennies. No quarters anywhere," he said. He turned his pockets inside out. Handfuls of pennies went spilling out into the street. The group snickered at him as he looked up. "I wish I would have known you were all here before throwing my loose change everywhere."
"They're pennies Ang, you'll be fine," Malcolm said. "No need to call us anyway. We're here."
"I can see that."
"Where'd you two lovebirds go?" Phil asked.
"Lovebirds?" Angus asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" He gestured to us with his hands.
"If it's not obvious Phil, maybe it's not true," Angus said with annoyance.
"But you told us you liked-" Mark elbowed him. "What?" Bon shook his head and whispered to him.
"Not now Ruddy, he hasn't told her yet." I was confused with their interaction but I let it go.
"Seriously though, where'd you go? We've been looking everywhere, almost got lost." We answered back and forth.
"Saw a movie."
"Beat Angus at pool."
"Went to the park for Hannah's birthday."
"Wait wait wait, birthday?" Bon asked. "We got a birthday girl on our hands?!"
"Today's your birthday?" Malcolm asked.
"July 12th it was, not today," I answered. They all smiled.
"How old ya' turnin'?"
"Seventeen."
"Seventeen, we need to celebrate!" Bon said.
"We already celebrated," I said.
"Not with us you haven't. Alright gents, back to the bar for us!" He pulled Malcolm along in a playful headlock. We laughed as he escaped and gently pushed his shoulder. "You're not comin' Mal?"
"No thanks mate, I'm through. Sneak Hannah and Angus in."
"Yeah, everyone there's already too drunk to notice," Phil snickered.
"Hannah and I are tired anyway," Angus said.
"You're tired? We walked half the night chasin' you down. I'm takin' a shower when we get back," Mark said.
"What if I want one?" Malcolm asked pretending to threaten him.
"You can go lounge in the lobby fountain for all I care, I'm takin' a damn shower." Malcolm grabbed him and they pretended to fight while we walked to the hotel.
"Ladies, ladies, no need to fight. There's plenty enough of me to go around," Bon said.
"No one in hell is taking a shower under you Bon," Phil said laughing. I snickered to myself at their antics. Angus smiled at me and pulled me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around his waist as I was getting chilly again.
"Tired?" Angus asked quietly. I nodded with my head on his shoulder. "Me too. I'll need an extra bowl of cornflakes tomorrow just so I won't fall asleep on the toilet." I laughed again listening to the off key rendition of 'Happy Birthday' being sung by the guys. My eyes fluttered shut not knowing where I was going, but I trusted them completely.
