Please tell me what you think of my story, comment, fan, vote! :) Really appreciate it.

By the time I finally managed to get some sleep, the birds had already woken and were tweeting away happily.

I woke up earlier than the rest of the family, as usual. Taylor was leaving today. Lily was leaving in less than a week.

I went to the bathroom and splashed some cold water on my face, reminding me of the rain therapy I had yesterday. I changed clothes quietly, as to not wake Lily up. I went outside in the garden. After the rain, today was a beautiful sunny day.

Someone was in the garden. I see Taylor had beaten me to it. Before I could turn around and leave, he said “Hey, you already awake?” I wanted to say bitterly “As you can see.”

But I just said. “Yeah, you too.”

“Yeah… It’s very sunny today.” Again him and his unbelievably fast change of conversation subject.

“Yeah, it is.” I said lamely, sitting down next to him on the grass.

“I know you must be pretty upset about Lily leaving.” He bought up the taboo subject.

“Hmm, I guess I’ll miss her a bit.” Surprisingly, I was not completely lying. We were sisters after all.

“Don’t worry, she’ll come on holidays and half terms, you’ll see her throughout the year.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“Anyways, I’m hungry, should we go make breakfast?” I hope all boys didn’t change subjects so fast.

“Um, okay.” We went to the kitchen and made toast, coffee and fresh orange juice. I never made breakfast for everyone when I woke up early. Taylor went and woke up everyone, shouting “Waaake up! Breakfast’s reeaaady!” cheerfully.

Everyone came in the sunny kitchen, yawning and stretching.

“Aww, you made breakfast for us, how sweet.” Auntie Emma said, smiling.

“You’re welcome.” I mumbled.

“You’re welcome!” Taylor said happily.

We ate breakfast, everyone was smiling and chatting happily. After we finished, Taylor and Auntie Emma went to get their stuff, and left.

"Bye! Do come again soon!" My mum said.

"See ya." Taylor said happily.

"Bye, see you." I said.

"Bye!" Lily called after him.

They closed the door and left.

"Well, we're not just going to sit here all day doing nothing." My mum said a second after they left. The dreaded thought came to me. She couldn’t mean... we weren't going to clean the house were we? Hovering, the washing up, cleaning the windows... it was all too painful to even think about.

"We're going to... buy your school things!" She said.

"Eh? What school things?" I asked, confused.

"Well, you need your pens, pencil cases and things and Lily needs her wand, her cauldrons and things." Oh, so this was it. It was about Lily, again. We don't usually go out to buy school things, so I wondered what this about. And, unsurprisingly enough, it was about Lily.

"Yay! I can't wait to get a wand!" Lily said, slightly too happily and over excited.

"Er... we don't just... go out and buy wands. Where are we supposed to go?" My dad asked, confused. That's true... the place was probably hidden, so non-magic people couldn't see it. Would I still be able to go there though? I guess I will, I mean students can go with their parents even if their parent are non-magic people, can't they?

“Of course not, we have to go to Diagon’s Alley!” Mum said cheerily.

“The… what alley?” My dad asked, confused. I could hardly blame him.

“I asked Emma where I was supposed to get Lily’s things. And she said Diagon Alley.  But she said we need a ‘magical’ person to come with us, and she told me Hagrid was coming today. In less than an hour, in fact. So, chop chop, go and get ready!”

Who is Hagrid? Hmph, probably some freaky wizard.  We got ready, and soon enough, we heard an enormous knock on our front door.

Lily ran to the door and a huge man stepped in. I mean a huge man. He was more than twice my size, nearly three times my size and his mouth was hidden in a tangle of hair. Despite all of that, and him being a wizard, he seemed kind and caring.

“Hello. How are you? Yup, being a witch seems surprising, eh? Well, let’s go and get your stuff.” He said gruffly but cheerfully.

“Yay!” Lily said happily.

We caught the bus (which was quite embarrassing, seeing as apparently, wizards do not know how to use “Muggle money”)and walked a while. Then, we reached a brick wall.

“Huh? Is this it?” My dad asked, confused.

“No,no.” Hagrid simply said. Then he tapped some bricks with a pink umbrella, and the wall split in two, revealing a huge streets full of wizards, Muggles, animals, broomsticks, shops, strange creatures, you name it.

People were looking at their wands excitedly, holding out their broomsticks and showing off their strange animals.

This was Diagon Alley.
