Ringing. This constant ringing was all that I could hear. My ears were the only part of me that seemed to be working.
I couldn't see and I couldn't smell anything. I felt lost, confused, afraid. "What was happening?"
I tried to move, tried to see beyond this pit of darkness I was in. Nothing. No response from my body. No movement. All alone.
Fading in the darkness, I reached out trying to grab something, anything to keep me from drifting further. My efforts were in vain as I found nothing to grasp.
"Where is mom? " I remember wondering as I finally faded into oblivion
