I went into the cubicle as did all of the other trainees. As soon as everyone was inside we began our descent down into a dark place. The only light being the one shining from where we were coming from.

The cage suddenly stopped and the door opened. I stepped out and looked around. It felt like I was at a the bottom of a well. In the distance I saw an entrance to a cave like building.

I walked towards it cautiously looking down to see if any trigger was set in my path. As soon as I entered the cave a gate came from the ceiling baring me from going back out.

I was about to try and open it, I didn't want to be trapped inside here with no way of coming out.

As I was about to touch it I saw wires running from it and a faint light in the gate.  I assumed that it was electric and was made to keep trainees from coming out.

I slowly let my hands drop and turn around to face whatever was ahead.

                           *******

Walking inside the cave was a challenge as I was barely able to see
A light was glowing far in the distance and I tried to follow while at the same time looking out for the traps that I suspect was placed strategically.

I want to avoid them, I really can't afford any sort of problems that would prevent me from finishing the course set out for us.

It was deadly quiet, but that changed as I heard the agonizing cries from a few of the trainees, shattering the silence every once in a while.

I just wanted to play their sadistic games and get out of this godforsaken place. The stench in here was unbearable, the heat almost caused me exhaustion due to the lack of water to quench my thirst. They sent us in this minefield without nothing. We had to figure this out on out own.

I was startled out of my thoughts by the ongoing screaming carried out by my classmates. I couldn't focus on them as selfish as it sounds,  everyone was in it by themselves. I didn't want to lose hope.

I was walking for a while in the granite looking cave. I could hear the dripping of water but apart from that I did not hear anything much in my area.

Suspicion started to cloud my mind.

How is it that I have not come across an obstacle like so much of the trainees. This cannot be coincidence.

I wondered to myself for what felt like an hour. I couldn't know the time,  I had no watch of any sort.

I walked along searching for some trap,  it was pretty ironic.

Raven we are supposed to be avoiding them not searching for it.

My subconscious taunted me. Of course I knew I shouldn't but it was just so strange that I didn't see any.

Well my suspicions were confirmed for shortly after walking for such a long time, I stumbled upon a opening in the left side of the cave.  The light barely allowing my eyes to make it out.

I tried to get a better look at it. It was small and had some sort of device in it that I didn't dare touch. My instincts were attacking me telling me to be more aware of my surroundings.

I was on edge and confused as to why my mind would be screaming at me like that. About to continue walking I hesitated and looked down.

A thin rope was there almost invisible but because of my improved eye sight I could make it out  as a thin rope.

Well damn
