OLIVIA
We were lying on the couch, so much warmth oozing from his body and into my heart. Love. That was what I was feeling in that moment towards this boy behind me who had his arms safely wrapped around me. It was a strange feeling, a feeling I've never felt before in my entire life.
For some reason, we decided to go out into the pouring rain. Apparently it was my crazy idea.
As we opened the door and stepped outside, the ground beneath us opened up into a black hole which I got sucked into. My hands quickly gripped the pavement that had yet to open up but started to crack.
Fear spread through my whole body and I started to scream. A hand gripped my wrist, holding me tight. "I've got you." The boy I was with spoke, sounding scared and it reminded me of Ian for some reason but I couldn't see his face clearly.
But the pavement continued to crack and soon I could feel how he struggled to keep his grip around my wrist.
It loosened and I fell down into the dark and cold hole. "Nooo!" The boy's voice echoed as I kept falling and falling until I landed on the cold ground far down.
My head was pounding so hard that I felt sick and I couldn't move but was completely paralyzed as I laid there, waiting for something to happen, or maybe someone to find me.
But nothing happened. I was slowly dying alone, in that cold and dark hole. My heart beating so fast it hurt. My head pounding from the fall. Feeling exhausted, my eyes closed, surrendering.
"You're okay sweetheart" An unfamiliar voice spoke to me. But even if it was unfamiliar, I felt safe and loved by hearing it.
Opening my eyes slowly, I saw an older man with the bluest eyes I have ever seen. Blue like the dark sky, sparkles seen in them like stars.
"Who are you?" I weakly voiced out as I tried to stand up but I couldn't, instead I collapsed onto the ground with a hard thud.
Crunching down beside me, the man spoke with a soft voice. "You know who I am sweetheart."
My eyes turned watery. "Daddy?"
Smiling brightly, he lifted me up into his arms. "I've missed you, you've grown up into a beautiful woman." He carried me out from the darkness and into the warm light, my body healing itself somehow. The pounding in my heart eased up, my head stopped hurting and my body did no longer ache.
Burying my head into his chest I cried. "I've missed you too daddy." Even though he wasn't the same man I've seen in the pictures, I knew he was my dad. It confused me.
Putting me down on a bench beside the water, we sat there watching the horizon in awe. "Be careful my little girl."
Surprised, I turned to look at him. "Of what?" I asked just before a pang was heard, echoing around us. My dad's smile faltered as a hole formed on his forehead, slowly blood started to pour out from the wound as everything went in slow motion.
The stars in his eyes slowly faded as he looked into my eyes with the saddest expression. "Be careful of him, I don't want you to turn out like me and your mother."
I screamed bloody murder when he...
Fingers snapping in front of my face caused me to break free from reenacting my dream that I had last night. My nightmare. "You okay there?" Adam asked, worry evident in his eyes and I realized I was crying.
