IAN

"Hello...." I looked down towards her name tag before continuing. "Marybeth... I would like seven, long roses with greenery, please."

The woman nodded before she started to prepare the flowers for me, wrapping them in something called... cellophane? - to make it extra special. A smile formed on my face, thinking about how I was going to ask Olivia to move in with me. I was fucking ecstatic for it.

I had finally found Olivia, Mayfair was being picked up tomorrow to be escorted to jail and everything started to fit together.

Our lives was finally starting to fall into place.

The older woman came back with the flowers in hand and smiled at me brightly "Your girlfriend is a lucky woman."

Blushing lightly, I payed her for the flowers and walked back towards my car, carefully placing the flowers on the passenger seat beside the Chinese food before driving home to meet her.

God I missed her like fucking crazy.

It was insane how I could still miss her even though I had seen her a few hours ago. She had been in my arms as I woke up; I could hold her and kiss her as I wanted to. But I was still hesitant, afraid this was a dream that I would wake up any moment and realize I hadn't found her, that she was still gone.

Arriving home, my heart started to beat fast against my rib cage as I found the apartment in complete silence, no sign of Olivia. Confused, I entered the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase before looking for her. At the middle of the kitchen island, I found a piece of paper. My trembling hands picked it up, feeling nervous of what she had written - did she leave me?

'I went to the hotel for a meeting. I probably will be home before you, but if I'm not - don't worry that something happened to me, I'm just at the hotel and will be home soon :) I miss you! Love Olivia '

My stomachs twisted in uneasiness, knowing she was out there alone and that something might have happened to her. But I knew I was only being paranoid, so I placed the flowers in the middle of the table and started to unpack the Chinese food that I had bought, knowing she'll love it.

After preparing everything - even lighting candles to make it more romantic - Olivia was still not home, making me more worried that something had happened. Reaching for my phone, I noticed that I had gotten a text from her, just a few minute ago.

My eyes widened at the picture she had sent me. Quickly, I blew out the candles I had recently lit, took the keys to my car and stormed out from the apartment as I dialed a number on my phone and pressed it against my ear.

"Where the fuck is she?!" I roared into the phone the second Sam answered.

OLIVIA

I knew Sam's reason for wanting me to take over as chairman, but that didn't mean it was something I wanted to do. "I don't care if this is my legacy. I don't want to be the next chairman!" I argued back for the hundredth time.

"Gra-... Olivia..." he sighed in defeat as he walked towards me - who was nonstop pacing the room in frustration. I knew deep down that I probably should step forward - one day or another, I had to - but I was afraid of how everyone would react. I wasn't even sure myself if I liked the fact Sam had told me the big secret, how would they react? Maybe I was better off not knowing. "It belongs to you." He reached his hand out towards me.
