Jealous

*STEVE's P.O.V.*

Things were going great. Our mission was a success. Almost.
That's when things turned sour. One of my best friends Sabrina Jen was on the mission with me. She was also the love of my life.
She was helping me and my other best friend Bucky Barnes break some agents from S.H.I.E.L.D out of HYDRA.
Brina was one of the most loyal people I've ever met. She'd die for someone she didn't even know. And she had helped me save Bucky.
  HYDRA was in hot pursuit of us. I watched as they took a shot at an one of the S.H.I.E.L.D agents we were trying to save.
   Brina saved them by taking the bullet. It hit her in her back. She fell to the ground. I was about to help her up but she got up on her own.
   But she lagged behind greatly. She fell again. I was about to help her again. But Bucky beat me to it.
   "Go Steve! Save the agents I got her!" Bucky yelled to me. I watched as he ran to her side.
  He knelt beside Brina and picked her up and held her in his arms.
  "Buck?" She asked softly.
"Shh, shh you'll be fine everything will be okay." He whispered to Brina. Bucky lifted her and carried her to the jet.
  We all boarded. The mission was a success. Excluding the fact that Sabrina got her.
  Bucky cradled her the entire plane ride. He cooed in her ear.
  I have to admit I was very jealous.
   When we reached the base Bucky rushed Brina to the infirmary. While I took the agents to Director Fury.
   Immediately after I went to check on Brina. Bucky sat at her bedside holding her hand.
  "Will she be okay?" I asked nervously.
Bucky nodded grimly.
   "I'm so glad of it. I was so worried." He mumbled.
  I nodded. "I know. I was worried too."
  "I love her. Sabrina. She isn't afraid of me. I love her Steve." Bucky said suddenly.
  My whole world stopped. I was crushed. But I was so stupid. I didn't know how I didn't see it before.
  The way they looked into each others eyes. How much Bucky loved her. How much she loved him.
  I was just the best friend. The third wheel.

  In a few months Brina was back to normal and perfectly fine. I was very glad of it.
  And her and Bucky became a couple. It pained me to watch them together. But I was also happy for Bucky.
  In a few years they were married. I was the best man.
  I could never have Brina the love of my life but at least she was with someone I can trust.
