I sat on the couch of the Avengers tower, reading a book. Bucky sat across from me.
"Please put it down." He begged.
"No." I said keeping my eyes on the page.
   "Please."
  "Nope."
"I order you to put the book down and come here." Bucky said in a stern voice.
"I'm not gonna listen to you're warning." I said keeping my eyes to the book.
"Who said that was a warning?" Bucky started to get up. He came and stood in front of me.
"Come on give me the book." He urged.
"Nope."
Bucky was mocking a grim face. "Alright you forced me to do this."
He plucked the book right out of my hands.
"BUCKY!" I shrieked, "THAT IS SHAKESPEARE!!"
Bucky laughed, "this is what I get for dating a nerd."
"Give it back!" I shrieked.
He just chuckled and held it behind his back. I lunged at him trying to grab it. He held it up high. I couldn't reach cause Bucky was at least a head taller than me.
I still attempted to reach for my book again Bucky jumped back. "Bucky! Give it!" I shrieked.
"No." he said sternly.
Bucky started to run around the living room. I jumped over the couch to try and cut him off. He was too quick and moved away. I chased him relentlessly but I was starting to loose my breath.
Finally I cornered him. I reached for my book. Bucky tossed it backwards. I ran past him to catch it the book however sailed right into the fireplace.
Bucky looked guilty. He looked at me with puppy dog eyes begging for forgiveness. He knew how much I loved my books.
I couldn't possibly be mad at him though with the adorable but sad eyes he was giving me. And to be honest it was kinda funny how the book sailed into the fireplace.
"I'll buy you a new one." He said.
I laughed. Bucky glared at me, "what's so funny?" He demanded.
"Now you can chase me." I said and began to run. Bucky chuckled. I didn't get a chance to go anywhere though. He quickly got a hold of my waist. He picked me up and sat on the couch with me on his lap. Bucky laid back so I was on top of him.
I kissed him deeply. Licking and nipping his lower lip a little. Bucky sat up a little when we broke apart. I threw a blanket on top of us and curled up close to him. He kissed the top of my head.
"How about we watch Timeless?" I asked grabbing the remote.
"Sure I'll watch your nerdy history show."
"Yay!" I exclaimed kissing his nose.
The tv flickered to life I pulled up Netflix.
"So you aren't mad about your book?" Bucky asked. I could practically feel his guilt radiating off him.
I giggled, "I'm upset yes cause that was fine literature, but you wanna know something Buck, I love you way more than I love my books. You mean more to me than Shakespeare, Hemingway, Poe any of them. Sure I'd be upset if I lost their work, but if I lost you nothing nothing at all could be worse than that."
"You mean it?"
"Of course, I love you Barnes more than can be expressed with words more than you'll ever even know and I'll do my best to show you that."
He buried his face in the crook of my neck, his minty breath was on me. He kissed my neck softly.
"You don't have to doll cause I already know."
