"Bucky! Bucky make it stop!" I heard the screaming coming from Alex's room.
Alex was my girlfriend. She was also a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. Alex was tough and an excellent agent. However she has a rough past and often has horrible nightmares.
She never lets anyone see her cry except me. It brakes my heart to see her cry and I wish I could stop the nightmares but there's simply nothing I could do ever except hold her tight and lie and say everything was fine.
  What else could I do?
I rushed down the hall of Stark Tower. I opened the door to her room preparing for the worst.
Sure enough Alex sat on her bed sobbing hysterically. Her caramel colored hair was plastered to her face from a cold sweat. And her green beautiful eyes that were usually filled with courage, confidence, and pride now only held sadnesses. She looked absolutely terrified.
I rushed over to her. Immediately I took her in my arms. Alex still sobbed.
"What's wrong doll?" I asked in my best attempt at a soothing voice.
She began to describe her nightmare which was the same one she always has.
She's in her childhood home and her father lays dead on the floor while her mother is being tortured. Right in front of her and her younger brother Ethan.
Finally the man became bored of the torture and he shot Alex's mother in the head. Dead instantly.
Then she was dragged off to HYDRA.
The worst part of the nightmare was that what Alex dreams of every night is her actual past.
  "It's okay. It's just a dream." I told her.
Alex looked up at me. "I'm scared Bucky."
I hugged her tightly. "You don't have to go through this alone. I'll be right here with you. Always."
Alex calmed a little. And went back to sleep.
