Max's POV
"Axel," I called out to him, as he skate in the park. I rolled forward and kissed him on the lips. "I have to be at my birthday party in about an hour."
"Birthday party?" Axel and I were skating in sinc.
"My father wanted me to have one, and I wanted to know if you could come." I held his hand, tracing his knuckles.
"That'd be cool." He smiled at me. "I just wanted you to know how beautiful you looked today."
I blushed. "Thanks. Oh, I just wanted you to know that my father doesn't know about us yet, so we have to break the news to him."
Axel and I rode down the sidewalk, still holding hands.
*************
The party was already half an hour in before we got there. People wished me a happy birthday, and I smiled, thanking them while pulling Axel along with me into Brendon's studio.
"Wait here while I go get Brendon, okay?" I kissed him on the nose. "When he comes in, don't be intimidated, he's actually a big softie. And after that we can go see Gee."
***
I came back into the studio empty handed. Brendon was too busy playing host to come with me. Happy birthday, Max. Your own father didn't even want to talk with you.
I sighed and snuggled into Axel's warm embrace. I whispered in his ear, "Let's go to my room. They won't notice I'm gone."
He kissed me on the nose. "I'm sure he's just trying to make a big surprise for you."
I shrugged as we walked up to my room.
**************************
Axel and I were snuggled on my bed, and I felt him fiddle with something in his pocket. His fingers were warm as they caressed against the back of my neck, filling me with tingles. I looked at the necklace he had fastened around it. It was a simple silver charm with a green stone in the center.
"It reminded me of your eyes." He kissed me. "Happy Birthday, Max."
I turned and pressed my lips against his, not caring about the world while I was alone in my own world of pure bliss.
**************************
Axel and I were completely lip locked on the bed, with our tongues tangled in knots. The door burst open, the lights turning on, as we pulled apart, our legs still a tangled mess.
Brendon stood with his arms crossed, ignoring me completely. "Who are you, and why are you with my daughter?" Before Axel could speak, Brendon continued. "Never mind, just get out."
"Brendon." I sighed as Axel got up.
He ignored and turned to watch Axel.
"Brendon." I spoke more loudly.
This time Brendon spoke back. "Not now, Max." He watched as Axel slowly put on his shoes.
I screamed. "GODDAMN IT, BRENDON! JUST LISTEN TO ME FOR ONE MINUTE!" I ignored the makeup and rivers of black mascara that were falling down my face. "You never listen." I whispered.
"What is it, Max?" He was still eyeing Axel.
"Look at me." Brendon moved his gaze over to me. "Axel is my boyfriend." I said, talking calmly, even as the tears still fell. "We've been dating for over a month, but you're too wrapped up in your own life to notice. I love him, and he loves me. If that's not good enough for you, I don't know what is."
"I just wish you asked me first." He was doing one of his, "fatherly tricks." HE was acting all soft, to make me less mad at him.
I was screaming again, more tears falling. "MAYBE I WOULD TELL YOU THINGS IF YOU ACTUALLY LISTENED AND CARED! I BET MY REAL PARENTS WOULD LISTEN TO ME!I FOUGHT TO STAY WITH YOU, BUT I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF ITS THE RIGHT CHOICE ANYMORE!"
I ran out of the room, Gerard waiting. "Hey, Max."
I pushed him out of the way (A/N He's just Gerard now. All of the Way was pushed out.). "GEt out of my way (Nope. he was just possessed. she wants the demon to get out of her Way)." I kept running.
