3 months later...
In Gaston's house, Belle sits on a chair, holding a book, lost in thought. The chair she sits on is too big for her as she is sunk in its depth. She stares into space blankly for a while as a tear pools down from her eyes.
She jumps back to reality as she hears Gaston's voice getting closer the door of the house, it sounds like he was talking to someone. She quickly wiped the tear off when he entered the house. She had to be strong, at least to appear strong when he was here. She wouldn't let him see her tears, she won't...
"Well, you just have to do as I say, I am the hero of this town who saved all of you from that beast, I think I have the right to make this decision on my own.", Gaston said, entering the house.
Before the smaller man could speak, Gaston roared again, his voice echoing through the house. "Now get out! I want to speak to my wife." The already frightened man nodded and quickly scurried away.
Gaston turned and walked over to Belle, squatting to reach her form on the chair. He put his palms over her shoulders but she shrugged them off, avoiding his gaze.
"My beautiful wife, my crazy beautiful wife." He said examining her features.
She turned and met his gaze, glaring at him, "I'm not your wife!""Not yet", he added quickly... "Not yet. But you will be, once you realize and come into terms with the fact that you have no other choice. Its either this or the other thing."
He brought his head down and looked at her hands holding the book, dragged it away from her hands and almost immediately threw it out the window. Belle doesn't flinch but daringly steadies her glare on him.
" You have no right to keep me here. Let me go.", Belle says defiantly.
"You are so stubborn. How many times do I have to explain it to you? You're going to remain here with me, except if you want me to throw your father into the asylum where he belongs. In fact you should also count yourself lucky you're not in there too after you went ahead and fell in love with a beast."
" I hate you." She hissed.
He flinched and slapped her across the face then almost immediately cupped her jaws with the hand and brought her face back to his. She gasped in shock but recovered and holds his glare at her.
"You know how much I hate that word but you say it all the time." Releasing her jaw, he stood up straight and arranged his jacket and spoke, "Speaking of crazy, your father is here, entertain him fast so he can be on his way, I'm not so fond of him."
He walked away and into the room and she sat still. She didn't want her father to see her like this so she quickly tried to change her composure and arrange her dress. Wiping away the stray tear from her eyes, she stood, powdered her face and practiced her fake smiles.
The old man walked in and called out, "Belle?"
She turned around and put on the best smile she had mastered and walked over him. He hugged her and looked into her sad eyes, searching for words in his head to comfort her but found none.

Meanwhile...
Somewhere far from the little town where Belle was, there was another tiny village near the sea.
A beautiful lady is shuffling through a garden, picking up herbs and putting them in her basket. She started scaling through the light forest with a little red-haired boy following closely at her tracks.
She finally gets to a little cottage and as she enters, two older children run to meet her. She enquires of them, "where is Monsieur Adam?"
They point towards the balcony at the other side of the house.
"And papa?" The eldest answers, "he hasn't returned yet, ma."
"Will you kids help me treat Monsieur Adam's wounds?"
The children chorused together, "Yes mama!"
"Okay, let's go then."
They all walk over to the balcony.
