Chapter 9

"What's this? It seems the ordinary guard has taken quite a liking to my queen. For the little respect I have for you, I'm going to overlook this. Leave here immediately and I'll act like this never happened." Gaston said.

"No", Adam replied with a grim look.

" No? Did you say no? You answer like I left you a choice Adam, leave here this instant! And that's an order, not a request. ", Gaston said, the anger increasing.

" Gaston, this façade ends here. I'm not going to do this anymore. Belle, get up.", Adam says gesturing to Belle on the bed.

Belle gets off the bed, tries to gather the remaining pieces of her dress and walks over to where Adam is.

"What is this?", Gaston says with his voice low and his eyes narrowed with rage.

" This is me taking back what was originally mine, what you stole from me when you pushed me down that building months ago." Adam replied him.

Pure hatred and rage exuded from Gaston's face when he spoke coolly,

"Belle, don't joke with me. Leave his arms and lie right back on that bed."

Belle did not quiver or shake in fear but instead looked Gaston straight in his eyes and repeated Adam's previous answer,

"No, I won't. Adam is back now, you have no right in this place."

"So you had to pretend to be my servant just to get here, that's sad. Too bad you won't be leaving just as you had hoped.", Gaston said.

Adam turned and faced Belle and spoke,

" Go to Cogworths and Lumiere, tell them that the plan has been moved up a couple days early, the extra men should be taken care of discreetly, also they should be alert in case of reinforcements or surprise attacks. I leave it to them while I'll handle Gaston here."

"But you can't do that alone, I'll help you once I relay the message."

"You will do no such thing, throughout the period of this attack, you will not be sighted anywhere. I cannot afford to lose you twice. I have an advantage with Gaston seeing that he's drunk and unstable so this should end quick."

"Okay, I'll do what you say.", she heads for the door and runs out. Gaston growls as she leaves.

" Belle, dont you dare leave here! Belle! Belle!! You swine!", he said facing Adam.

"I thought I got rid of you the first time, but you still manage to come back to terrorize my life, this time I'll make your end permanent." Gaston roared.

"I should say the same since you have refused to stop being a pest to me too." Adam replied with a smug look.

Meanwhile, Belle has made her way to where Mrs Potts is, and relays Adam's message to her. Mrs Potts tells her that Lumiere already took the initiative to start after hearing that Adam had gone to confront Gaston. Lumiere and Cogworths had assembled all the servants and kicked off the plan. Cogworths had taken some men to deal with the intruders from outside. While the men inside were all served food and drinks spiked with poison that shuts down their whole system for a minimum of six hours giving them enough time to round them up and put them in a large carriage that would be directed out of town.

The men outside were Gaston's footmen he had gotten with his newly acclaimed wealth. They were being warded off by Adam's previous guards who were now mere servants under Gaston but had resumed training after Adam returned. The footmen easily surrendered after their leader gave up saying he won't risk losing one man in battle for the sake of Gaston. They retreated and started their journey back home.
