Sorry I haven't updated in quite some time. I've had exams. Then next I have my mocks approaching, which my GCSES, will then follow on from. So please bare with and I shall try my best to update ( it's kind of a filler chapter too, apologies.)

"How long will you be away?" Jacob asked as he stroked Eve's hair from her face. "I don't know Jacob, mum's in a real bad way. There's no one else but me to care for her." She sighed and kissed him. "I'll text you." She smiled and he waved as she dragged her suitcase behind her frame and headed to her gate.

"Con are you okay?" Josh asked as he sat on the sofa, after watching her for 5 minutes staring into an oblivion. "What- yeah I'm okay." She smiled. "I've just got a meeting with mr Hansen later on, this afternoon." Josh nodded and smiled as he wrapped an arm around her. "How is Jacob getting on down in the ED?" He inquired. "He's doing fine. Why wouldn't he be?" She asked and sat up a little. "I'm just making conversation Connie, I was just wondering." She nodded. "Yeah. He's really good, I suppose. Though I haven't seen him in action in resus yet, I mean under pressure and that." Josh nodded and smiled. "I'm off today, I'll go out and buy us something I can cook for dinner tonight." Connie nodded and smiled. "That sounds great. I best get ready, I'm due in at 2." He nodded as she dragged herself up the stairs and into the bedroom.

"Charlie." Connie called him over as she headed straight to her office. "Yes-" "I am heading to a meeting with Hansen in half an hour, could you make sure everything goes okay while I'm gone." He nodded. "Of course." "Thankyou." She smiled gratefully and logged onto her computer.

"Hey boss." Jacob grinned and knocked on her office door. "Jacob." Connie nodded. "So tell me-" she glared up at him. "Beau-champ. What's the deal with that?" Connie rolled her eyes. "It was my last married name." His eyes widened. "You mean, you're still marrie-" "No Jacob." She laughed and he sat on her couch. "Did I say you could sit there-" "No." he smirked. "Then why-" he got up and approached her, her heart pumped and her stomach grew full of butterflies, like she was 16 all over again. He whispered in her ear. "I know you want me. I've seen how you look at me Connie." It was true, she wanted him. But she was scared to betray Josh.... "Jacob." She bit her lip and sighed. He kissed her cheek softly and nibbled her ear lobe gently, to which she gasped at. "Jacob." She said and Jacob pulled away. "See-" "go back to work." She whispered. He smirked and let his hand linger on hers and then trotted off to the office door. "Later boss." He smirked and opened the door before closing it again. He left connie wondering what to do next. He was right, she wanted him and she didn't know how much longer she'd last not touching him.
